I don’t think we will be coming back. Maybe you should care about customers, This place will eventually be close and soon and here’s the reason why, as a local guide, please do not come here. So many negative reviews might as well as add mine. And of all things, I got sexual harassed here tonight by a regular who was a birthday Man, I don’t care if it’s your birthday don’t touch me. The Bartender, was rude, and as a Bartender of over 20 years, I have never seen, such behavior, while serving, and not mixing, like a Bartender should have. Meanwhile she was more interested serving anyone else but me and my husband. As I have been in customer service for over a decade, this is how a place go’s under and quickly, all sand, no ground. I’m half Irish, My ancestors like, the “Unsinkable” Molly Brown, would be rolling in her grave. As while as my full mother’s side, of the Twohigs, Duugans, and the Hardgroves, which were founding members and The first Police of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, who came from Cork, Ireland. So if anything be aware, this is the worst place, all time, of all the other reviews this place rates the worst. Just do yourself a favor and don’t come.

McCarthya does have great service. The Clientle is sketchy depending when you go in. At the end of the day its best dive bar in Longmont. And its better than any Dive bar in Boulder.

I’ve been trying to get a quick beer here late night a few times after my shift (closing a restaurant) and it hasn’t worked out. The hours online say they are open until 2 am, but multiple times that I’ve arrived at 1:40-1:45 they are already done serving. Sort of frustrated that the bartenders won’t pour a beer unless you’re there half an hour before they close. Might be worth changing operating hours so future customers don’t run into this issue.

This place is my go to for karaoke. Always a good time.
I’ve been coming here a long time. It’s like going to a party at your best friends house! Always welcoming and you feel safe there. Joe is an awesome KJ who makes sure everyone gets a chance to sing. The bartenders work hard to make sure everyone has a good time.

I started going to McCarthys for their karaoke but quickly found myself as part of their regular crowd. The bar staff are all very friendly and take care of any issues quickly. During the winter, they put up an enclosure on their back patio and turn on heaters so those who smoke or don’t want to be inside can stay warm. The one problem I have is the incredibly tiny bathrooms. Unless you are stick thin and short, you’ll have some difficulty getting in and out of the restroom. All in all, McCarthys is a great little dive bar.

Cozy dive bar on Main St. There’s some tvs, free popcorn, billiards, TouchTunes, video games and a foosball table. Bartender was friendly and prompt.

Cheap drinks. Really nice dart board set up (4 total with great lighting). There’s a blind draw every Wednesday with a great group of people.
