About us Mazzios Italian Eatery It was 1961. Alan Shepard was the USA’s first man in space. Dion’s “Runaround Sue” topped the music charts. Volkswagen’s funny little car invaded America in droves. And a young school teacher opened a small, one-man pizza restaurant in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was to be the birthplace of the growing, dynamic Mazzio’s LLC of today. That original restaurant—named The Pizza Parlor—delighted many Tulsans with the very first pizza they ever ate. The school teacher was Ken Selby, who ran his new business virtually alone and after a full day of teaching.

Friendly service, food is yummy, and the decor in the 1950’s makes for a great place for some pizza and salad. They even have a buffet on Sunday’s 11 am to 2pm. Oh and did I mention the delicious desserts? Hubby and shared a little of all they had. Check it out

Listen, when you go in, it’s a wonderful atmosphere, clean and friendly. I use to go here 2 times a week for lunch and it was the bee’s knees, but today; something failed. The salad bar is great aside from the downgrade of some veggies but that’s understandable with prices these days. I don’t understand what happened to the pizza. When it comes out of the oven, it should look fresh, not 2 days old. The marinara sauce was nasty. We got to Mazzios at 1140 and were the only customers at the counter and food bar.
I don’t think I will be returning to this establishment until I know there’s changes being made. I don’t recommend eating here if you want to eat a buffet.

Spiro mazzios needs to pay their phone bill! Been calling every day because I would like to give them my business and my money but when it just goes to ( the number you have called is not available) and then I drive by to see yes they are open, so I may be petty because I don’t want to get out to go in and order but the point is the phon number for your business should be working for paying customers. Since I’ve been back to Spiro this place has definitely went down hill from what I remember growing up. Such a waste of space.

I don’t usually write a negative review because I generally believe we’re all just out here trying to do our best. But our experience at this mazzios was enough for me to write a review. I would give zero stars if I could. We drove over 30 minutes to this mazzios for the Tuesday buffet. We missed it by a few minutes, but figured we’d just get salads and cheese dippers. We saw the Specials Menu on the counter and repeatedly referenced it and pointed at it when ordering. Madison, the girl taking our order was not very pleasant to start. We saw that the Tuesday special was a medium pizza with two toppings and cheese dippers for $15.99. We ordered the special, two salads, and a soda and water. Again, repeatedly pointing to the specials menu and talking about the cheese dippers. Madison, repeated our order back to us including everything. We paid and it was $36.10. We got our salads and drinks and waited for the pizza and dippers. The AC was broken and it was extremely hot in there. We were the only customers in the restaurant and we should’ve taken that as a sign. So the atmosphere was already pretty miserable. Then our pizza was brought out by the cook, but no dippers. We waited a while to see if the dippers were just taking longer. Madison had earbuds in and was cleaning tables and never asked us if we needed anything or checked on us. Finally, we went to the counter to ask about the dippers and the cook had Madison come back. We said we wanted the dippers because we ordered the special and she said “I don’t know how to give you the dippers, you already paid for the pizza” we explained that we did order the special which comes with the dippers. She said “well I don’t know how to give you the special when you ordered the pizza. You already paid the pizza. I don’t know how to give you the dippers when you didn’t order that.” We explained again that we ordered the special and that’s why we were looking and referencing the Specials Menu. She refused any help and lacked all customer service and pleasantness. She never apologized for the miscommunication or tried to resolve the situation. She never even asked if we wanted to make a separate order. The energy was “I don’t want to help these people.” We said we now just wanted a box and were leaving. Again, she didn’t seem bothered or like she wanted to help us once seeing we were frustrated and never apologized for the service, atmosphere, or lack of help. I understand she was probably hot from working in there with no AC, but I work in customer service and my friend works in the food service also, and we just couldn’t understand why the girl was being so rude and unhelpful.

If you ask for extra sauce on your pizza, they will take off all the sauce and just give you a small jar of sauce. Ridiculous.

I’ve had both good and bad experiences here. One time I ordered cinnamon sticks and when I picked them up in the drive through and brought them home, they were hard and burnt. Another time they ignored my calls even though they were clearly open so I kept calling and finally a young girl answered and said we’re closed then hung up on me.

This was a such a wonderful treat after driving over 6 hours with 2 kids under 2 and my husband. I forgot how amazing their sandwiches are and the ladies working the front were so kind. The place was empty (Mother’s day evening) so my oldest was able to run around after such a long trip. I hope to visit again.

Every time I’ve ordered from here on doordash (pickup, not delivery) they get my order wrong. Several times now I’ve paid extra money for extra toppings and gotten home to find that none of them were there. Once they put tomatoes on when I asked for mushrooms, but besides that, extra toppings are always ignored. I know y’all are one of like 4 restaurants in Spiro, but do better. I’m going to start driving all the way to Poteau just to get what I’m paying extra for.

The staff were so friendly and amazing with us. I can’t get over it. I’m a picky eater and can’t say it’s my all time favorite food but the nachos were good and because of the gentleman in the front I will come back and often! Thanks!!

We placed an order over the phone, when we got to the drive through to pick up our food, the little lady at the window was unsure of what our order was when I told her my name for the order. When we got our food, the first time my order was wrong, she quickly fixed it but my food was not freash at all. No season on the fries. Ordered 2 cokes and were given 1 dr peeper and 1 half coke and half Dr Pepper? Not really sure what this drink is. Lol they just didn’t seem to know what was going on. There were only 2 cars in the parking lot so it wasn’t at all busy. Just a weird and unpleasant experience lol
