What a wonderful hidden gem! I hadn’t heard of Mazza Mediterranean until my husband suggested we give it a try. After recently visiting Greece and falling in love with the food—and with my husband being a true NYC “food snob”—our expectations were high. Mazza did not disappoint. The dishes were absolutely delicious, and the warm, family-friendly atmosphere made the experience even better. The Greek beer and wine were the perfect complement to our meal. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine.

Amazing food, environment, everything! Been twice and both times didn’t disappoint. The service is excellent and the family always offers suggestions, help with pronunciations, amazing and patient w/ explaining the different dishes. The family who owns the place truly make you feel at home and the food tastes that way as well. So much love and flavor!! Seasoned extremely well, super aromatic. And again, I can’t stress how pleasant and welcoming the fam is. Food really is made w/ love.

This was my first visit and I hope to come back. The afghani/greek fusion was delicious. I enjoyed the lentils soup, octopus appetizer, and salmon kebob. The owner was immensely kind and his staff as well. The owner spoke about some of the dishes and offered us tea to go. Just a really lovely evening. The food was also reasonably priced. Do not miss out on this gem.

First and foremost we would like thank the owners for their hospitality. This was our first time there, came early and the owners were the ones who literally took care of us, waiting on and cooking for us. The food was outstanding: calamari, falafel, lamb gyro and salmon dish. Also the coffee and desserts. Will definitely be back. Can’t say enough about this restaurant….

Family owned. Delish food. Honestly almost didn’t go here but glad we did. Family was so nice and I went with the recommended dish from their son. Lamb shank with jeweled rice. Was absolute delish. Would recommended giving this place a shot if you enjoy afghan cuisine!!

If you’re craving authentic Mediterranean cuisine made with heart, this family-owned and operated gem absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed like an old friend — the kind of warmth you simply can’t fake.
The food is nothing short of incredible. You can truly taste the difference when recipes have been passed down through generations — the spices are balanced, the olive oil is fragrant, and every bite feels authentic and comforting.
What makes the experience even better is knowing it’s a family operation. The owners are hands-on, passionate, and genuinely care about their customers. They take pride in their cooking, and it shows in every detail — from the generous portions to the beautifully plated dishes.
It’s more than just a meal here — it’s an experience rooted in tradition, hospitality, and love.

Stopped in for a quick bite and left seriously impressed. The falafel was spot-on—crispy outside, green and herbaceous inside, with a creamy tahini that tied it together. The lamb gyro was even better: tender, well-seasoned slices tucked into warm pita with bright tomatoes, onions, and a cool, garlicky tzatziki. Portions are generous without feeling heavy.
Service was friendly and efficient—orders came out hot and fast, waters stayed topped off, and the staff checked in just enough. The space is clean, relaxed, and welcoming; music at a good volume and plenty of seating.
Bottom line: great Greek flavors, kind people, and a comfortable vibe. I’ll be back.

Every single meal we’ve had here is delicious. We’ve dined in and ordered take out. Always consistent. Always ready on time. And the dine in experience is a lovely way to enjoy an incredible meal at a leisurely pace. Soak this in and avoid the hustle of the day. It’s one of the best restaurants in Patchogue. Always my first choice.

I was craving Mediterranean food and randomly popped in here on a visit to Long Island. It was everything I was hoping – delicious, fresh food, welcoming staff, and enough of a wine list for an afternoon spritz. Everything from the hummus to the kebabs to the sweets was cooked perfectly and hit the spot. I was crushed when I realized I’d left my doggie bag in the car overnight. I honestly debated risking it all for a few more bites.

Mazza is one of those places you end up recommending to everyone after your first visit. The food is fresh, comforting, and full of flavor, with a really nice mix of Mediterranean and Afghan dishes that feel both familiar and a little different. Everything tastes thoughtfully made, from the perfectly cooked kebabs to the shareable mezze, and the portions are generous without feeling overdone. What really sets Mazza apart, though, is the warm, genuine hospitality—you’re treated like a regular even if it’s your first time. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and consistently good, making it an easy go-to whether you’re grabbing dinner with family or meeting friends. Highly recommend!
