Fresh tortillas, legit Oaxacan flavors, and tacos that don’t need extra hype. I tried a couple different fillings and each one had real depth. Casual counter vibe, quick service, and food that feels way more thoughtful than the price suggests.

I had an amazing experience at Mazunte! The moment we walked in, we were met with a welcoming atmosphere, delicious aromas, and a staff that truly cares about their customers. The cashier/host, Dayanira, made the experience exceptional. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive from beginning to end. She checked on us often, offered great recommendations, and made us feel genuinely valued.
The food was phenomenal as always — fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and beautiful presentation.
Mazunte continues to be one of my favorite restaurants, and Dayanira’s outstanding service is a big reason why. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic flavors and excellent hospitality!

Extremely unfortunate that I have to give this place such a low rating. The food is good, but the service is HORRIFIC. Their system for serving is the most inefficient I’ve ever experienced. We waited over 1 hour for our entire table to get their orders and watched people who came in well after us get their food before us. Will not be coming back.

We were on our way to a different restaurant and the smell from here made us change our mind. The food is AMAZING!! I had Barria Tacos and my friend had Tostados. They made the food fresh on arrival and it came to the table flavorful and piping hot. They make their own teas and lemonade. I had the Jamaican tea and it was so good I had to look up the recipe. The wall art was really cool and the different textures on the walls was creative Definitely 10 out of 10. I will be coming here again for sure!!!

Came in early when they opened and got some amazing breakfast tacos. Added the chorizo and it was perfect, the flavor was amazing, I will definitely be back! Friendly staff and clean restaurant.

Excellent tacos! The guac was flavorful and very limey – like we like it. We also had a side of the black bean puree which was delicious. You can mix and match tacos too, which is always a plus. If you’re in the mood for tacos, you’re not going to go wrong with Mazunte!

If you’re looking for good authentic Mexican food this is the place! The tortas are good compared to other places here downtown. The service is amazing and the vibe is just wow! Parking is somewhat difficult but that’s just downtown.

Great food and atmosphere and nice staff. We tried the chips, salsas, queso, a number of the tacos and the margaritas and everything was great. Nothing was exceptionally spicy but the flavour was delicious. I wish I wasn’t only visiting the city or else this would be a regular place for me!
