Had a Thursday night dinner. The store had a wonderful glow up and yet prices are still the same. All food was bought to our table (no service charges). Ordered rib eye sandwich (requested bread swapped to a wrap), chicken schwarma rice bowl (great options like pickled lemon, fried eggplant, fried garlic in addition to the usual) and pulled short rib pita. All of it was delicious but the short rib pita was a mouthwatering showstopper. Succulent, soft, tasty meat in a soft and fresh pita. Manager came around asking how food was and I couldn’t stop raving :)!
Portions were very generous. 2 adults couldn’t finish the 3 dishes we got, were thrilled to take home leftovers. Total was $75

Last night , I got to check out the all new Mazon in Lakewood. They are located at the former location of Eat A Pita in town on Clifton between 1st & 2nd. As I walked in to this authentic Israeli experience, I was pleasantly surprised. The space isn’t too big, but has a nice feel to it. You can immediately see the Shawarma rotating on the spit and all the griddles. The food is all prepared by Chef Eli Dancour who has a really unique was of making authentic Israeli food. For example, we had the Beef Aryes. Usually beef aryes are made in a pita bread and either cut into either halves or quarters. Chef Eli however, made fresh laffa, put in the meat and rolled it up, cut it into pieces and put them on a spit on the grill. The flavor was insane and I was getting a nice amount of heat. We also ordered two different type of wings. I happen to be a big wing fan. These flavors weren’t your typical. We ordered the Zaatar wings and the Lemon Mint Wings. Talking about flavor, the lemon mint wings were off the hook. They were tangy and flavorful, dripping with lemon sauce. I was pleasantly surprised. The Zaatar wings on the other hand were a dry rub and just as surprising. I liked both very much. We also had an order of their popular Lemon Garlic String Beans. I know, a side dish. How good could they possibly be? Again, I was blown away with the depth of flavor. These were served cold and had such a unique punch of flavor that we polished them off pretty quickly. For our mains, we split three sandwiches. We ordered the Ribeye, the Sabich and the Challa Schnitzel. The ribeye was thinly cut ribeye rolled up in a fresh laffa, made fresh when ordered. Inside the sandwich was greens, smoked mustard mayo, red onion jam and pickles. I highly recommend. The sandwich was packed with flavor and believe it or not filled with healthy ingredients. The sabich is a really packed sandwich. It’s packed with eggplant, egg, salad, pickles, red cabbage, potato, tahini and amba. It’s a real mouthful, and that’s a good thing. It has some spice, so watch out. Finally, we had the Challah Schnitzel, which consisted of a challa roll cut in half and stuffed with matbucha, roasted garlic, eggplant, schnitzel, pickles, slaw and tahini. Two thumbs up for this packed sandwich. The food at Mazon is unlike any other place. It is similar to its sister restaurant Taquito. You can only get the fresh, and unique food at these restaurants. Highly recommend.

Wow I found my new go to store, amazing food for a quarter of the price of any other store, ppl must not know that it exists, most amazing atmosphere, quiet but not ghostly, friendly place, I can see myself gaining a few hundred pounds and spending a few bucks, the french fries and shawarma laffa along with those poppers, something special, try them out, amazing selection of yummy tasty food!

This Asado Sando was something else, sooo good and tasty! Loaded with soft broth flavored meat, juicy grilled onions, the freshest pita, and a bright tehina to top it off. Definitely authentic. Definitely unique.

Wow. The food here was great. The guy behind the counter recommended a rib-eye sandwich on their fresh, house-made bread, and it was really flavorful and filling. Plenty of space to sit, service was quick, and the place looked clean and well kept.

Awesome food and great service. The place was clean and there is plenty of seating. I got a chicken shewarma in a laffa and it was awesome. Filling and wholesome. The bread tasted fresh, the chicken was juicy but not greasy. You can watch them shaving the chicken from the shewarma rotisserie which is pretty cool and rare to see in now days. There are many available toppings too, so you could customize the sandwich to your liking. Everything was seasoned to perfection, and the sandwich was assembled perfectly. My friend got a ribeye sandwich, and from the little bite I took, it is definitely worth trying. I liked how it came in a fresh baked bread. The staff was friendly and was happy to offer recommendations. Overall great experience, highly recommended, and a place to go back to. Thank you!!

Had to check out the all new Mazon, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s not just another place.
The food is fresh, very unique flavors and a little different than the average place. For starters all their bread isn’t just “fresh” but it’s made on the spot and it’s incredible. The shawarma had a cool lemony/acidy twist to it which was awesome. Go check this place out!

5 stars does not do justice for this place. By far the best food in Lakewood. I highly recommend the ribeye sandwich it’s from the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Really really good food.
