One of the higher priced restaurants in the area but well worth it. May be higher priced but it won’t break the bank.
Everything on the menu is worth ordering.
Service excellent – kudos to Stephanie
Atmosphere- can do much better job- looks very dull- not rustic.
House Bread with garlic spread is a surprisingly refreshing take
Lamb is great
Oysters – little over done on garnish- but good
Desserts are amazing
Overall a great place. Owners need to work on the ambience- not good.
Big thanks Gabe and Caleb: thank you for your excellent customer service.
Thank you to Michelle and Natalie for continuing hospitality.
Mazen’s is so delicious.
Ordered Chicken Marsala which come with delicious fried potatoes, green beans, carrots and sauteed onions! So delicious.
Appreciate You, M. Barnes
However, after ordering our entrees the service rapidly declined. Our server became a rare sight. We both ordered the ribeye steaks, and while we know these aren’t quick ticket items the wait time was a little longer than we expected. The meal took about an hour to arrive and our food was delivered to the table by another staff member. Judging by how badly she burned her hands on the plates compared to how dried out our potatoes were and how lukewarm our steaks were, we believe they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a good minute.
Our waiter didn’t check in during the meal, and our water glasses weren’t refilled until we were nearly finished. Additionally, the table was quite unsteady which made cutting the steaks a bit challenging. The food and service quality didn’t align with the prices and desired ambience of the restaurant, which was very disappointing.
We arrived at 6:45 PM and received our check around 8:55 PM, making the evening longer than we anticipated for a typical date night. While the initial hospitality was appreciated, the overall experience fell short of our expectations. We may consider giving Mazen’s another chance in the future, but for now we’ll explore other dining options.
