I love this place! I ordered the Chicken fajitas & Steak fajitas for pickup & my food was personally handed to me in the restaurant still sizzling hot and fresh. Everything was packaged thoughtfully & nothing was leaking. They even threw in a bag of chips and plenty of salsas which was such a nice touch. The Chicken and Steak fajitas were both absolutely delicious and full of flavor. You can really tell they care about the quality and presentation even for takeout. Definitely the best authentic Mexican food I’ve had around here. Highly recommend!

The food is very good. However it is very disappointing that they only give you one very small container of salsa with your chips and then attempt to charge you, or offer to sell you a larger container, if you request some more salsa. I know of no other Mexican restaurant in the area that does that. I wonder if the owner is aware of this practice, which has happened repeatedly to us – and we go often. Very odd, especially considering that we spend almost $50 to dine there.
And based on the owner’s response to my review, it appears that they will continue to charge extra for salsa beyond the small container that they initially provide you with chips. Compare this to si señor that has a salsa bar with unlimited refills, similar to what other Mexican restaurants do.

Great Mexican family restaurant. If you eat in, you get chips and refried beans as a free appetizer. This is one of our favorite quick take out spots, food is usually ready within 15 min so we can grab it on the way back from wherever. Meats are well done.

Mazatlán – Sherwood Location Review

Friends and family always enjoy getting together for a meal at Mazatlán. Although we’ve dined at several Mazatlán locations throughout the state, the Sherwood location truly stands above and beyond the rest.

A clean and inviting atmosphere greets you at the door, and there’s always plenty of parking. You’re welcomed with a polite hello and a friendly goodbye every time. The owner and staff remember their regulars — often recalling each person’s favorite dish or cocktail and even asking how your day has been.

The food is always fresh and plentiful. They never skimp on the meats or the quality of what they serve. We eat out every week, so the quality of the protein is far more important to us than the visual “fullness” that comes from empty carbs at many other restaurants. Because of this commitment to quality, every meal feels like a great value.

When we dine with someone who has special dietary needs, the staff is always accommodating and attentive.

Mazatlán Sherwood continues to set the standard for great food, great service, and genuine hospitality.

First time trying this place. We had the pollo al la crema and chipotle dishes which were very flavorful and delicious. Good size portions, too! I’ll be back to try something else.

One of my to-do’ lists since moving into the area was to find a go-to sit-down Mexican Restaurant and I believe my search is over. Mazatlan was within my target area and me and the kids decided to check it out. The reviews that patrons have left seemed promising so we wanted to experience the restaurant for ourselves.

We were greeted by a nice, spanish-speaking lady and she brought us to a nice table towards the back corner of the restaurant. The area wasn’t as busy and we had our nice little cozy private spot, The decor was really nice, colorful, lots of colorful tiles and colors adorned the walls with this fun-looking decor. We were given some nice, freshly made tortilla chips along with refried bean dip and a salsa on the side. It was a delight to have 2 different things to dip our chips into. The chips were an instant hit- it didn’t last long until we finished the bowl when the lady came back and asked us if we wanted more and we said yes. She knew we were enjoying the chips and it was a nice-to-have before our entrees came out.

For our drinks, we went with Horchatas all-around and I tell you, the Horchatas came in large, plastic coke-labeled glasses. Large Horchatas.- Wow!!

When the lady came back with our menus, the kids were overwhelmed and excited to see many choices from the menu. What really impressed my son a lot was that he never saw steak + shrimp offered on the same plate (kind of like a surf and turf) which was a delight to see. It was a hard decision to make but he opted for the Carnitas plate when he saw the photo on the bottom corner of the menu. This also caught my eye as well and we both ordered the same. My daughters went for Chile Verde and Enchilladas respectively.

Our eyes even lit-up wider when our plates came out- LOTS of food, I mean LOTS!! They were prepared in round, ceramic bowl/dishes and hot out of the oven. My son enjoyed how creamy the refried beans were and I enjoyed the carnitas meat- nice, tender but the bomb was the sauce that came with the meat- it was a lemon-salsa type of sauce that woke-up the carnitas. You have to absolutely dip the meat into this!! My daughters enjoyed both their enchiladas and Chile Verde- all tasty. We were served so much food that we didn’t have any space for our appetizers.

Obviously the highlight of the dinner has to be the left-overs that we get to bring home and continue to enjoy again for tomorrow’s lunch. Friendly waitresses, very attentive and always asking if you need more water and checking in on you. Great customer service and they made us feel at home- we really enjoyed our dinner tonight and what a great first-time impression!!

My favorite Mexican place for 15+ years! Some highlights are their carne asada – the steak is so tender and flavorful, and their steak and shrimp fajitas for two. Divine! This is my happy place.

We just moved to the area and decided to try the food here. Everything was well until the end where i found a piece of RAW carne asada on my plate.
I was letting the waitress know and she reacted like i wanted free food or something. I wasnt even done talking to her about the issue and WALKED AWAY leaving me there talking to my self. Completly Rude. She also only checked on our table once. When I asked to speak to management all the employees said there was no one in charge. I honestly was more mad and upset at how rude all the employees where with the situation. It wasnt that hard to own up to their mistake. To say less dont go here because I wont be returning. According to another waitee the ladya name is ANGELINA.
