People, check how much you’re being charged & ensure you’re not being short-changed! I had this spot bookmarked for a while and it did not live up to the hype. To start, the woman taking my to-go order was nice but she was upselling me everything like she was getting commission. I ordered a taco Mar y Tierra (& it was more meat than shrimp) and another of marlin, I was asked what size and went for the large that looked like a regular size taco. The marlin had a lot of tomato mixed into it. I had also attended to order the cóctel de camarón chico but she told be it was about 3 inches tall and that it was not a good option, to go for the large one. So I just didn’t get it after all. Then I ordered an agua fresca de jamaica and she tells me they only have the large one but on the menu it doesn’t say they have different sizes or the prices. It came out to $8 for a Jamaica that tastes like sugared water. I could have ordered 2 smaller drinks and would have tried their horchata to see if it was any good. Also, I was being charged more because I have $30 and was short-changed & when I realized it I was given the correct amount. They knew what they did. And when I asked how much was the water because the bill was more than I expected, I was told it was $8. I pointed out that it didn’t say that in the menu & the last tells me that if I don’t want it, they can take it back or give me the smaller side (she said they only had the large one when I ordered, why lie?). I left it as was but took a picture of the menu & when she saw me taking the picture she asked me if she could help me with something…hmm, you could start by not lying to me for a few extra bucks! The tacos were okay, I liked the carne one best. I did like that I was given beans and chips with some salsa. Overall, a bad experience.

Incredibly disappointed with the place. This is my 3rd time here. Food was an always great but this time I found a roach on my plate. Politely told the waitress, showed her the roach and she tells me that she didn’t know how it got there. She didn’t apologize, didn’t offer to comp my meal or tell the manager. She basically brushed it off. No apology, no nothing. I didn’t argue with the lady and paid. I was too shocked and grossed out to argue.

I’m not at all satisfied with my experience I purchased a coctel de Camaron with horchata paid 17$ and look at the portion I got I’m not returning to this place waste of money one of the servers was nice but I’m not happy with this at all 5 shrimps in total taste is off too much clamato flavor and most of it is chopped cucumbers I didnt even get a receipt to know exactly what made it jump from 10$ to 17$ so quickly I dont mind spending money but geeze this portion is just a RIP off I do not reccomend this restuarant sorry guys but you did not pass this time

So much history and passion in this place. Authentic Mazaltan, Mexico style seafood. The Yellow Fin Tuna, Ceviche and the Steak and Shrimp Tacos are out of this world!! Highly, highly recommend a visit to this place. A trip to Long Beach is incomplete without dropping by this place. The owner and the staff are super friendly and will treat you like family!! Can’t say enough good things about this place.

I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone…I ordered a tostada de ceviche de pescado and I asked the girl over the phone that this was my first time buying and that I was not familiar with their portions so she said that one tostada portion was like 3 tostadas for the price of $9.99 and another double the portion for $14.99 so I told her that I wanted the one for $9.99 and a plate of camarones a la diabla so later I picked my order got home and sit in my table and opened the lid from the paper cup to my surprise it was close to half the cup so I called the restaurant to find out what was wrong with my order and a woman asked the girl who took my order and she said that she gave me the one for $8.99 plus I tasted their ceviche and it was horrible…BTW a woman was selling fruit across the street and that was a really good delicious fresh fruit for $10.00 and that was way better that their “ceviche”…
