Reviews
We ordered the lemon mint juice, mixed grill, Iraqi kebab, hummus, falafel, and kunafeh. Each dish was prepared with remarkable quality and authenticity. The hummus stood out for its smooth texture and rich flavor. The Iraqi kebab was particularly impressive — juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The mixed grill was cooked to perfection, and the falafel was fresh and crisp. The kunafeh was an excellent way to conclude the meal, perfectly balanced in sweetness and texture.
Our server, Hatem, provided outstanding service and made excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience.
Atlanta has many Arabian and Mediterranean restaurants, but Majaz clearly stands out as one of the best in the area. Another great advantage is that they are open late into the night, making it an ideal spot for late dinners and gatherings. The hookah service is also well-managed and adds to the vibrant, social atmosphere.
I highly recommend Majaz Restaurant to anyone looking to experience high-quality, authentic Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine in Atlanta.
Food was great but the only problem is “The hookah “ thing should have separate rooms or section. We went on busy day , couldn’t get any couch and had to sit on the table instead (which are very close to each others) and everywhere there was hookah …unknowingly I took my 1.5 year old kid and 7yrs daughter …as the tables were very close my kids had to breathe all those smokes…
It’s just it would be nice if they have hookah section separate.
Atlanta might have its fair share of noteworthy dining establishments, but when it comes to Mediterranean cuisine, Mazaj Atlanta stands out as a culinary crown jewel — the kind of restaurant that makes you want to linger, savor, and return again and again.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with an atmosphere that balances elegance with warmth. The interior is beautifully curated: soft lighting, contemporary Middle Eastern accents, and music that whispers tradition, setting the stage for the feast to come.
The Food
Mazaj’s menu is a masterclass in Mediterranean flavors — vibrant, fresh, and deeply satisfying. Their mezze platter is an essential start: velvety hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, crisp falafel, and perfectly seasoned dolmas, each bite bursting with authenticity. The pita, served warm, is airy yet chewy, perfect for scooping up every last drop.
The lamb chops are nothing short of perfection — tender, juicy, marinated in a blend of herbs that evokes the sun-soaked coasts of Lebanon. The shawarma here is a revelation: thinly sliced, well-seasoned meat with just the right balance of spice and richness, accompanied by fluffy rice and vibrant pickled vegetables that cut through the richness beautifully.
Seafood lovers will be delighted by the grilled salmon — flaky, fragrant, and kissed with olive oil, lemon, and delicate Mediterranean herbs.
Service & Experience
Mazaj excels not just in cooking, but in hospitality. The staff is attentive yet unobtrusive, genuinely passionate about the cuisine they’re serving. Every dish arrives at the table looking like a work of art, and the pacing between courses is spot-on, letting you savor without rush.
Final Thoughts
Mazaj Atlanta isn’t just another Mediterranean restaurant — it’s an experience. It’s the kind of place where flavors transport you, where each dish tells a story of tradition and craftsmanship, and where hospitality reminds you why dining out is a joy. For anyone in Atlanta searching for an unforgettable Mediterranean meal, Mazaj Atlanta is the gold standard.
Will continue to bring my cars & my friends here. Falafel wrap no tahiniiiii
For apps we got the shrimp, lots of good sized shrimp, lightly breaded crunchy on the outside a dunked in a flavour bomb sauce. The babaganoush tastes roasted and authentic, seem like the break was baked in a bread oven- soft warm and toasted and flavour is great. The Sambousa dish was good sized cheese squares with a light flaky outside and delicious cheese inside.
All their main dishes come with Toum, a large roasted tomato and two options for rice. The Shish Tawook is two skewers with large juicy delicious chicken chunks.
Just everything there tastes delicious.
Emily was our server, and she was exceptional. She knew when to come to the table, she got all needs attended to quickly, she will walk by the table and notice what needs to be done without you having to ask. She’s very professional and attentive, and we would definitely ask for her every time we are dining at Mazaj.
The atmosphere is great, large, well decorated and clean!
We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and her husband, who is also extremely aware and attentive to your asks and making your dining and relaxation experience pleasurable.
Great news they have opened a café with an exceptional menu, right next door called Eleva!
