The waitress who was taking our order didn’t seem familiar with the menu at all and told us she’d “have to ask the kitchen” about basic questions, something we never got a follow-up on.
Despite the simple order, we waited over 40 minutes without receiving any food. During that time, it was extremely difficult to get the attention of our waitress, who seemed overwhelmed and constantly running around.
After finally catching a waitress and being able to speak to her about the long wait, we were eventually told we’d need to wait another 10-15 minutes. At that point, it was clear our order had either been forgotten or never properly sent to the kitchen.
We ended up leaving without eating anything and even paying for the drinks took another 10 minutes.
To make matters worse, another waitress came by in meantime asking how we enjoyed our food which we never received We wasted nearly an hour and had to grab McDonald’s just to make it to our event on time.
The food has become a bit more Western-inspired since our last visit. I noticed it was a bit milder in seasoning than the first time we dined there.
The food is presented nicely, and the staff is friendly.
The food was excellent although for the price I was hoping for a bit more. In Canada you can usually choose either rice or naan with your entree, this did not seem available here. I would have preferred naan but if it’s an additional expense I settled for rice.
The free appetizer of papadum with 3 sauces/dips was the best I’ve ever had.
The menu indicates a set spice level for each entree, so rather than go for the slightly spicy Palak paneer I ordered the butter chicken. I’m used to butter chicken being a bit more creamy and rich in Canada, whereas here is was a bit thin, but still tasty.
Music was a reasonable volume.
