Nice place with good food. Tried the beer battered onion rings, Atlantic cod and crab dip.
Crab dip was pretty good, service was decent and prices are pretty good.
My problem is mainly with how hard it was to find it. We kept getting directed elsewhere.
Love the food though.

The wife and I went to this area for the first time today. A local provided his suggestion of a good local seafood restaurant relating he eats lunch here everyday. This spoke volumes to me and we gave it a try. The meals we had did not disappoint and without reservations recommend you give it a try. The oysters and scallops were perfect and the pickled beets were out of this world complimenting the seafood.

Had lunch with several friends and we all had something different. My shrimp wrap was pretty good, but didn’t seem to have anything but shrimp and lettuce. Other meals were a trout sandwich, broiled shrimp, crab cakes, and a steak. Everybody enjoyed what they had. They have a large selection of sides to chose from, and they all looked good. My cucumber salad was fresh with a lot of extra ingredients thrown in. The service was prompt, efficient and polite, though we asked for more hush puppies twice an never got them. That’s the main reason I’m holding back the 5th star. Otherwise, I will have no problem stopping here again when I’m in the area.

We had dinner at Mayo seafood restaurant last night and it was delicious! Calamari appetizer, clam chowder, Cod, salads and shrimp and grits! Everything was fantastic, great service and cheese cake to go. Can’t wait to go back.

Located in Alliance Nc this small restaurant is locally owned and definitely a local favorite ❤️. The food is always excellent on our visits. Parking can be tricky during the peak hours.

I’ve always loved going to Mayo’s, over the years. When you want fresh caught seafood that is cooked perfectly, this is your place in Pamlico County. I’ve had different entrees from here, but my go-to is always the 2 seafood combo plate, Flounder and Shrimp. You taste the freshness with each bite you take!

I had to order take out. I have had foot surgery. I’m supposed to be off of my foot as much as I can for the healing process. However, you can’t always do that..I would like to take the time out to say “THANK YOU” to Holly. When I called, I asked her if she could come outside to get the $ due to my foot surgery. Miss Holly came right on out, got the $, bought my change back & she’s going to bring the plates to me. The food is always the 1st thing that is going to give a restaurant an awesome place. Also, the kindness, dedication, & just showing that they care about you, is just as important. Thanks Holly for that extra kindness shown!
