If you’re looking for a great spot in downtown Waukesha, I highly recommend Mayor’s Restaurant. The food is consistently amazing, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and attentive.
This time I ordered the salmon and it was absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked and topped with their Mayor’s sauce, which is seriously so good. I also tried the Arancini appetizer and wow… so flavorful and cooked just right. And you truly can’t go wrong with the broccoli cheese soup—it’s a must every time.
Everything from the service to the food makes it a place we love coming back to. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience! Great variety on the menu.
Started our night with mozzarella sticks and Aracini. Our dinners were Chicken Parmigiana, shrimp Alfredo, chicken Alfredo and Diane steak medallions. Fast and friendly service! We cannot wait to try the fish fry.
Thank you for turning our night into a great evening after we had a rough day. We will definitely be back.
Be sure to check out their Thanksgiving Buffet!

New favorite place! Went for brunch (available weekends). Veggie skillet and veggie omelet were amazing. Everything was fresh and hot! Prices very reasonable for quality and quantity of food (under $50 for 2 meals, 1 bloody mary, 1 mimosa, 1 tea). Server Kelly was great! Look forward to trying the Friday fish fry. Highly recommend Mayor’s!

Nice restaurant in a historic building. Had the Diane medallions and the sauce was very flavorful. The arancini were crispy outside and tasted almost like a spinach dip inside. Pasta portions were very large for the price and the Cajun sauce was very flavorful. Overall I would definitely come back to try other items! Staff was very friendly.

My first visit to Mayor’s Restaurant was so good that I had to come back again—this time for a classic Wisconsin fish fry. The fish did not disappoint: perfectly flaky on the inside with a crunchy exterior, fresh and full of great flavor without being greasy. I also enjoyed a cup of broccoli cheese soup, which was absolutely delicious—rich, creamy and comforting on this cold Wisconsin evening. To round out the meal, the old-fashioned was spot on. It’s a true Wisconsin staple, and Mayor’s definitely gets it right. The service was very good and quick, which made the experience even better. Overall, another excellent experience and a place I’d gladly return to again.

Fish fry was delicious! Lightly breaded, but crunchy and not greasy. French fries are also very good! Our server was very attentive. We will definitely be back.
Came back on Sunday for breakfast! I had a veggie omelet with red potatoes and my friend had the Mayor’s breakfast. Everything was delicious! Service was excellent.

Party of 13 on Sat. first off we met in the bar, the bartender was excellent, friendly, knew what he was doing. Gave us good suggestions. Then we were ushered upstairs to our own private room, it was chilly but soon warmed up. Waitress was very good and so friendly. All of our food arrived together and still hot. I got the flat iron steak with the chef’s secret sauce that was cooked perfectly. great baked potato and side salad that was huge! Everyone who got the soup loved it. From all my fellow diners everyone liked their food! no complaints. Heard the lasagna was excellent, and the steak Diane was very good. Try the bananas foster ice cream drink!!! YUMMY! Highly recommend!

Tried the cod fish fry and 12oz ribeye. Crunchy breading on the fish, not at all greasy; yummy tartar sauce. Ribeye cooked as ordered, tender; great price! Chocolate cake was rich and SO good. Everything was reasonably priced. Decorated cute for Valentine’s Day. Clean, nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I had the ribeye and it was phenomenal. It was cooked beautifully, juicy and well seasoned. The chicken parm was excellent, and was hand breaded to order like their chicken fingers which makes a BIG difference. My server Mike was attentive and courteous. Since it was my first visit to Mayor’s he had a few recommendations for us. I tried the ribeye on his recommendation and it did not disappoint. Definitely a top notch experience across the board. Looking forward to trying more of their menu. I also love the fact that they are exclusively showcasing Door County wines to highlight the tastes of Wisconsin and to support homegrown businesses. So come check out the historical hometown ambiance and great food. You will be happy you did. Don’t meet me there beat me there.
