The bar looks great, staff was friendly, I had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich with the “simply irresistible” fries. The sandwich was great, it was good size, clean, and had a good sweet heat to it. The fries left a but ti be desired, I think they were supposed to be truffle fries but were lacking a bit more truffle, they had so much parmesean (I think) on them that they were almost dry, definitely miss the old Rhinos beer battered fries. Could also use some laminated menus or something of the sort because our were crumpled and torn already.
Overall it was a good visit and we’re glad to see the place opened again so we can support more hometown places. Looking forward to going back again.

Not much has changed from when this was rhino’s…. I had so much hope for this place. Sadly this is how it went. Slow service is consistent, wait staff usually hanging out in the corner by the bar while tables get neglected. Food was overwhelmingly disappointing. I personally ordered a “Nashville” hot chicken sandwich, which was a lightly breaded (no breading texture) very thin frozen chicken puck probably from Gordon foods bags, the hot part was a splash of some kind of hot sauce on the middle of the paddy, it was placed on a bun that looked like it was squished in the cooks fist. Up until this point I thought Burger King had the worst hot chicken sandwich… I’ll happily eat Burger King. My son order a cheeseburger only catchup, yet, it came with the works (always great for a picky young kid) and it was over cooked and he only could eat one bite. My wife’s salad was not as described. It had some kind of not edible jalapeño dressing on it, not as described on the menu. The specialty drink menu looked amazing. We ordered a specialty mule type of drink, that came without the described garnish or the copper cups that we can still see hanging behind the bar.
Over all the staff give almost zero effort. The food is frozen garbage and not as described and the bartender is lazy and won’t take the time to mix expensive drinks properly.
This is a great place to go to if you are only looking to get drunk and maybe take home a local bar fly but ultimately just leave with the feeling of disappointment.

The bar itself looks nice. The food on the other hand was bland. I ordered the cowboy burger with a side of fries. The fries were unsalted and unseasoned, and the burger had barely any taste too it, like it was unseasoned. Ive been told the stuffed burgers are better, so ill have to go and try those. Over all not a terrible experience but not necessarily a great one. Just kind of meh.

Loved this place when it was rhino’s. First time back with the remodel and new menu. At first glance.i thought I was going to love this place menu looked good. The pickle chips were really good. But that was the highpoint. My beer was really expensive even in this day and age and didn’t expect that. I got the Nashville hot burger. It was ok. Just a bland chicken sandwich with hot sauce I felt. Bun was pretty meh as well, a good brioche roll would of been nice. My wife had a smash burger she said it was fine but nothing special. We both had the incredible fries which judging from other pictures maybe the chef wasn’t following the recipe were literally just basic French fries nothing special and no seasoning at all.
Really wanted to love this place because the town needed another good bar for a burger but just meh. Will have to try there wings and maybe may come back for appetizers but not really impressed by there burgers.

Ordered lunch/dinner from Mayor’s joint twice in one week last week and everything both times was delicious! The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is a must for that hot with a hint of honey flavor:) My son asks to get food from here at least once a week! Also, the staff is always so kind and helpful on the phone. Give ’em a try!

I consider myself a bit of a burger snob, but Mayor’s did not disappoint. I got the jalapeno burger, which consisted of two patties which were just the right thickness to maintain a crispy edge and have flavor throughout the patty. The burger stayed together throughout the meal without making a huge mess too!

Update (December 2024): Mayor’s Joint is permanently closed. There is a new restaurant now open at that location.
A fun place for an evening beer. My hamburger was excellent. The service was great as well as friendly. And my burger was delicious!

I’ve been here 4 times now in the last few months and been happy every visit. Drinks are great. Prices are great. The food is even better. Never had any issues with service. Waitresses and bartenders have always been very pleasant and quick to get you what you need. Highly recommend.

I was a bit disappointed in service. Entered through the back door and walked right by two servers who didn’t even acknowledge us. After sat, waited for a bit before anyone came to the table. The table behind us was getting ready to leave, then someone finally came to wait on them. I however did really enjoy my BLT grilled cheese Sandwich, it was well made and very tasty.

Good appetizers and mixed drinks. Party members were very happy with their stuffed burgers. I wasn’t impressed with my club sandwich, but that mostly came down to poorly drained bacon.
