It’s definitely a place with a party atmosphere, fun, they play sports on the big screen tvs and also have live music. If you want a more quiet experience you’d have to seat outside at the nice deck that overlooks a nice water pond. The aguachile negro was good, remember you have to get the shrimp in the sauce to get it perfect. The seafood soup was good (it can get messy as you have to crack the shrimp in it), the fried rice was on the bland side but alright, the boneless strips were good and the seasoned fries were very good. And the shrimp flautas were very good! Try the Jamaica too.

I was a little skeptical about this place. I didn’t try to many of the food options. I mainly came to see the Texans play, but I did try the Jalapeños poppers and I got to say it is the best ones I have ever tasted. It has a big piece of shrimp. Besides that the music is good and they had a live band that day they were giving out free Don Julio shots every 90 minutes!

We came here sight unseen and driven by good reviews. Sadly we were quite dissapointed. The aquachiles was RAW. The waitresss tried to say it was cooked in lime juice but we are veterans and know better. Traded it for the shrimp dish and it was mid at best. Asked for spicy, but must have been seasoned by an infant or they ran out of anything spicier than black pepper. The wings were good, nothing to write home about. Corn was seasoned well and sauce was tasty but it ended up being soggy quickly. I asked for a margarita and received a daiquiri because “Theyre basically the same thing. They both have tequila”. No, no they dont. One has rum, other has tequila. Absolutely revolting flavor profile. At $15 a plate we will not be returning.

I went here for my auntie’s birthday celebration on a Saturday night, and overall, it was a pretty mixed experience. There were definitely some things I liked about the place, but also quite a few things that left me feeling like it could’ve been better especially for the price we paid.

First off, the atmosphere was definitely lively. They had a DJ playing that night, which gave the restaurant a party vibe. I can appreciate a fun environment, especially for a birthday dinner, but the music was way too loud. Even though our table was seated far away from the speakers, I could barely hear my family talking across the table. It made conversation really difficult and honestly a bit exhausting after a while. If you’re looking to dance or hang out with friends for drinks, this might be great. But if you’re trying to have a nice dinner and actually talk, the volume was definitely over the top.

As for the food, I’d say it was okay, not terrible, but not amazing either. Some dishes were seasoned nicely, while others felt a little bland. It’s the kind of food you eat and think, “it’s fine,” but not something I’d go out of my way to have again. The menu had a decent variety, which I appreciated, but for the prices, I expected a little more flavor and consistency.

One of my biggest complaints, though, was the service when it came to drinks and water. Our server was really nice and polite, so I don’t blame them personally, but I wish they had come around more often to refill water or check on our drinks. It felt like we had to wait quite a while before getting refills or extra napkins. When we did order drinks, they looked great, colorful and fun but they didn’t taste like much. The cocktails were pretty expensive, and honestly, they tasted more like juice than anything alcoholic. For the price, I was expecting something stronger or at least with a more distinct flavor.

On a more positive note, I will say that the bathrooms were impressively clean. That’s something I always notice in restaurants, and it showed that they do care about keeping their facilities well-maintained. Another highlight was the outdoor seating area. It overlooked a beautiful fountain and had lots of space, which made for a really nice atmosphere. If the weather’s good, I would definitely recommend sitting outside, it’s quieter, more relaxed, and you can actually hear the people you’re with.

Overall, Mayitos isn’t a bad place, but it’s not great either. It has potential, especially with the beautiful outdoor area and friendly staff. But between the loud music, average food, and overpriced drinks, it just didn’t live up to what I was hoping for. Three stars feels fair, not terrible, just okay.

Howwwww does this place have 4.6 stars? The food is DISGUSTING! Literally taste like nasty frozen TV dinners that they warmed up and charge for.

Crab dip has IMITATION CRAB not real crab (which is interesting for a place with Mariscos in the name, when mariscos means seafood in Spanish)

Shrimp Alfredo had tiny little baby shrimp that you use for fishing in it, and nasty fake frozen shrimp on top.

Shrimp tacos… Just save yourself! Tastes like literal VOMIT.

My daughter didn’t even eat her chicken fingers and french fries. How do you mess that up??

We had the dragons kiss to drink, and honestly might’ve gotten more drunk just by drinking a cup of water.

I’m not sure who has been leaving these great reviews to get them 4.6 stars but do not waste your time or your money… This place is, simply put, horrible!!!

Went for lunch on a Thursday around 11am. It was very quiet and we were seated quickly. Food was very good. Service was great. Overall i enjoyed the experience. My only complaint is the drinks they are priced high had decent taste but not somewhere I’d buy drinks at again.

I came in today for my first time atmosphere was great. Everything else was way below par. Let me just say that I highly dislike mambo and y’all are about 100 steps under them. The service was crap. I had to get my own silverware napkins. Even when the server came up and we had empty glasses on the cup, she asked if we needed anything she should probably be retrained. I ordered an agua de sandia and it literally was the lightest shade of pink that you can get with a bunch of water and nothing but sugar. The rice tasted of nothing but soy sauce. The Chicharron de Pescado had no flavor besides the oil that it was fried. Completely dreadful I asked for the check and she read out the amount instead of presenting me a receipt. We paid through the QR code and then she came back and tried to charge us again and I’ve explained to her that it was paid and she said no, and sat there and checked. She’s very unprofessional. Please don’t go to this place. I wish I could give it zero stars for the service and the food. Please do not waste your money!!!

This was our first time going to this place and I must admit that I was very impressed. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. This place needs more umbrellas outside because lots of customers wanted to sit outside but the place lacks umbrellas at all the tables. The place had plenty of TVs to watch all kinds of stuff which they had on. They also have a stage which makes me think they have live entertainment on certain nights. Their drink menu is very big so is their food menu lots to choose from. But everything we ordered was really good. I would definitely say give this place a try, I will be back to try more items for sure. Keep in mind I went on Mother’s Day and when we got there it wasn’t too busy but by the time we left there was almost no place inside to sit down inside.

The music here is always great. DJ is chingon. We sat at the bar and Valeria never acknowledged us (2 girls) even though the bar and rest of restaurant was not busy at all. She checked her phone and just mingled with staff. Finally we got acknowledged, although rarely. Food was mediocre although looked great on social media. Rice was hard, not cooked all the way. Sauce was spicy and good! We Would love to come again for atmosphere but wait service at the bar by Valeria was sub par. The other girl which sadly I didn’t catch her name, was great.
