This was the first time I have been here. Honestly, after reading a lot of reviews I was a little hesitant, but this has been an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely come back when I’m in the area again.

I had the seafood platter. Oysters and Scallops were delicious! Flounder and Shrimp were very bland. Slaw was awesome. Josh is an excellent server! Restaurant was very clean and all employees were extra nice!

Always on point! We haven’t had a bad meal here yet, and I don’t see one coming either. The consistency is there. The food is delicious. The remodel brought the place into the proper century. The staff is outstanding. Their seafood always tastes fresh. Their cakes a delicious. The coleslaw is Phenomenal! My only issue is their tarter sauce. I am not a fan of their tarter sauce at all. The cocktail sauce is delicious as well. You really can’t go wrong with this place. Enjoy!!!

We recently got takeout and had issues such as half of the meal missing (and cold food, not seasoned, etc). Now I get that issues will happen from time to time. However, we have been eating here for twenty years and had minimal issues.
We decided to call and voice our complaint. From the start, there was a defensive response and almost a blaming. In addition, the manager never came to the phone. I worked in the restaurant business when i was younger and never observed this response from the leaders. We were surprised considering we had just paid $75 for three meals.
I am not sure if staff, to include management, have changed, but we will not return (even after 20 years). There are so many new restaurants (in Charlotte, and Monroe)who still take pride in customer service, and value their customers.

We were driving by and decided to have a lunch. We made a great choice choosing Mayfair Seafood. The staff are so nice and friendly, portions are huge and food is so tasty. We ordered the Fried Captains combination and fried pickles. I loved the fried pickles , fish and oysters. Least favorite was the devils crab.
I would only suggest they add healthier grilled options to the menu – fish , shrimps and veggies and I’m sure they’ll get more happy clients.

Truth & Happiness
We had fried scallops, shrimp, baked & sweet potatoes, and shrimp tacos. The food portions was good. I was looking for more flavor. The sides, condiments, and service were good. I used their drive-thru option, which is unique, there is no window a server comes and take your order in a the parking lot space. I will try them again. They had a variety on the menu.

I had the fried seafood platter with perch instead of flounder with fries. The flavor of the shrimp and perch was good. The devil crab, not so much. The fries and osyters were ok. I’ve eaten here before, in restaurant. This order was take out and more greasy than I remember. I didn’t try the huspuppies that were on the bottom of the plate because they didn’t look appetizing. I ate the fish and some of the shrimp, a few fries, and two of the osyters. The coleslaw was delicious. I couldn’t eat the rest. The young lady who brought my order out was very nice. If I go here again, I will eat in instead of taking it out.
