Great little place. Service reminisce of days of old. I feel like I’m in the actual town of Mayberry. Waitress was top knotch. Food was like Grandma used to make.
Pork Schnitzel was perfect. Mashed potatoes where ok. Peach cobbler was worth the trip.

Very good place for classic home cooking. Quaint old fashioned place and they play Andy Griffith on several very old tv’s. Been here several times. This time the food took a lot longer to come out. While we were still waiting, a female hostess sat some folks at a nearby table. She was telling the about the special with awesome detail.”dynamite pork chops covered with (something or other) “it’s delicious ” she said. “And the grilled Brussel sprouts drizzled with..she went on and on….now I am regretting ordering a burger.
Our food came out warm. My wife’s fried chicken was excellent and it came with homemade mashed potatoes with gravy along with a bowl of sliced cucumbers in a type of sweet vinegar type. It was great.
My burger was good, nothing special but good. I did not care for the coleslaw. I am a creamy coleslaw guy and this was not it…I think I was probably Hangry. Still thiking about the dynamite pork chop special. I wish we were told about that.

Cute atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly, however, the food not great. My fried chicken breast was small and dry. Overcooked and only barely warm as we’re the mashed potatoes. Green beans were tasty, but barely warm.
My husband said his beef Manhattan wasn’t hot at all and dry as well.
This was a Wednesday night at 6 p.m. and the restaurant was not busy at all.

Enjoyed a breaded chicken sandwich, fries and fried mushrooms today. Mushrooms were just “ok” but the sandwich was good. Service was excellent and drinks/food came out quickly. Prices are fair and you can’t beat the atmosphere!

The food was delicious. The service was fantastic. We’ve eaten here many times when we’ve visited Danville.
I had the Barney Burger and fries. My husband got the Monterey chicken and mashed potatoes. We’ve also had the fried chicken, the BLT, and the fish. Everything we’ve tried here has been delicious.

The charm here is amazing and the staff is so friendly. Aunt Bees chicken with bacon gravy is so delicious and the mashed potatoes were outstanding. The burger was alright (not bad, but not special) and the onion rings were frozen and kind of bland. The fried biscuits were really good and the apple butter was good as well. The blackberry cobbler was disappointing (it was pie tossed into a cup not cobbler and it was not homemade. Given the theme of this place a homemade dessert would have been great. All in all, I would go back, there are a few other dishes I would like to try.

Had a birthday dinner for my wife at the Mayberry Cafe. Our group was eleven people and that didn’t deter the staff at all. Servers were friendly and professional. We started with cheese curds and fried biscuits with apple butter. Both were a big hit. We had a wide selection of dishes and they were all prepared as ordered and very tasty. Our tables order included the fried chicken, New York Strip steak, Italian Beef sandwich, pork tenderloin sandwich and chicken fried chicken. Also a wide selection of sides. Everyone was very complementary of the preparation and taste of the servings. The prices are very reasonable. The Mayberry Cafe is an excellent family restaurant.

If you leave here hungry it’s your own fault! The service was friendly and the food was delicious. I had a BLT and sweet potato fries. Really good bread, generous amount of bacon, and the sweet potato fries were great. My husband had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was fresh and the mashed potatoes are from scratch. Will definitely come back next time we’re in Danville!

Well I’ve been a lifetime fan of the show since I was a kid so I was excited to eat there. The place is decorated with photos, quotes etc and its nice. We then had a waitress that lacked any warmth whatsoever and first brought us literally cold coffee and we then had to ask for fresh coffee and she brought it out and said “well this is the best we can do”? and I was like the best would be just to simply make a fresh pot and pour it so I didn’t get that. I’ve also been to many places where they’re attentive and she wasn’t attentive enough to us as she didn’t fill our coffee cups enough or ask us enough if we wanted more and wasn;t around much as I had to get the other waitress to help. Oh and it was not busy with about 5 tables and more than one waitress. I had then run out of coffee before I had the worst sugar cream pie I’ve ever had as I’ve tried in my lifetime about 10 different kinds and this had little flavor and was bland compared to all, I mean all the other sugar cream pies I had. Everything else I had (sandwich etc) were just average and nothing special taste wise. Maybe they have better things on the menu? Maybe. But the key thing about this experience was the complete lack of warmth in the service from the absolutely detached hostess seating us to the seemingly burnt out uninterested totally lacking any warmth waitress and that’s the core things that were missing that the show was all about, warmth. there was zero interest in satisfaction or a warmth or caring in how our experience was and the show was all about caring, warmth, and trying to do right. The restaurant though its called Mayberry at least with the people who tended to us did not display what that show was about.
