This place is EXCELLENT!!!! As soon as you walk in it smells amazing, the dining room.was clean and neat. I was greeted as soon as I walked innthe door. I ordered the 2 meat plate with double brisket, corn and Mac n cheese the brisket was juicey and flavorful with a nice crust and beautiful smoke ring, the sides were delicious. They give you bread and pickles and barbecue sauce on the side. I’m not from the area but I will definitely stop by then next time Im.down here.

Hands down the best BBQ in the area. We’ve tried Callhoun’s, destination smoke house, NiNi’s bbq, and recently Lucielle’s, NONE compare to Maybells. We’ve been left so disappointed when we try a new place. Maybell’s brisket is so delicious, so juicy, so good it melts in your mouth. We’ve been coming here for a couple of years now. We even moved about 30 mins away and we still make the drive just to have the best brisket ever! The brisket beans are the best beans I’ve ever had. Their homemade pudding is amazing! I’ve been here easily over 20 times and have never been disappointed. Not once. The owner is so sweet and so welcoming, we love coming here.

On the advice of a Temecula Foodies associate, we tried Maybell’s and were overall delighted
The ribs were WAY good either sauced or not,
the brisket was good however my wife and I thought it was over salted, the macaroni and cheese was average and the hot links too
GREAT smoke flavor and bark
They have a FANTASTIC small kids area with books, crayons and pictures, a small playable dinosaur, and a ring/bead “thang” to occupy a vast age group of children

Holy crap don’t even think about it just call and submit an order (better chance you will get what you want, they are so good they run out fast). I drove 30 miles to get my order and it was soooooo worth every penny. We had the brisket, pulled pork and Ribs everything was falling apart delicious. They have one of the best BBQ sauces I have ever tasted. My only go to place for authentic BBQ period

Went to Murrieta, CA to dine at Destination Smokehouse again, but they were closed. Looked up local options and decided to try MayBell’s. The service was great! The folks were very friendly, welcoming, and kind. The food, however, was completely flavorless. The brisket was dry, the chicken was cold, the beans tasted like nothing, the mac n cheese was bland, the potato salad was flat. While the service was wonderful, I definitely do not recommend this place for BBQ.

Maybells was good. They don’t have a real huge menu, but the food was very tasty and very tender. The baby back ribs were awesome, super meaty and very tender. The brisket was excellent as well and without a lot of fat, which is nice. Will definitely go back and try something else.

Best BBQ in the SW Riv Co area, and I’ve had them all more than once. Everything is exceptional, but we usually stick with brisket, ribs, or pork. Service is always A+ and can’t beat the family vibe of the place.

Food was quick and to-go friendly. All the condiments were separated from each other so it is travel friendly. The quality of the food was good but side portions on the pulled pork sandwich could be bigger. Coslaw and beans were about the size of a table spoon. Either making the side portions bigger or adding corn bread could make it balanced. Over all definitely worth a try.
Check out price with out tip is $40 for 2 pull pork sanwhich meals and two drinks. Next time I will probably add a side of fries to feel complete

But, tried twice and both times they were closed due to “emergencies”. :/
Edit/Update: Finally got to try them. Everything was good. Of note were the pork ribs, Cole slaw, and mac ‘n cheese.

This place is one of the best places for BBQ, everytime I’m in the area I stop for lunch, their brisket is the best, today I got some pulled pork and was amazed at how good the pulled pork is. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. I go to much they always know what I’m going to order. I always get the loaded fries.
