As a new person to the area I missed mexican food sooo much! This southern girl can say this place was amazing!!! Been to a few places in alaska and swore I would have to wait to go south again to have decent mexican food until I found this place tonight!!! Will definitely be back!!

Amazing! This Tejana from a border town felt right at home. It was so nice to find authentic Mexican food out here and take a break from cooking at home. They even have Jarritos!

I had the camarón al mojo de ajo, and my husband had tacos. Everything was delicious.

We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday and I’m so glad we did. Restaurant was very clean, service was awesome, and food was amazing. The ‘spicy’ salsa wasn’t all that spicy, but both salsas had great flavor and the chips were fresh. We had the Adobada Tacos and the Barbacoa Tacos, both were amazing…by far the best tacos in Fairbanks. The rice was ok, good but not super flavorful. The retired beans were awesome, perfect consistency and flavor. We’ll definitely be back soon!

It’s been years since I’ve been to the mayan. I hate to say it, but food in the past has been inconsistent.But last night, it was right on. I had lingua and there was a burst of flavor with the first bite. The beans were good enough that I thought I cooked them.
And both of the salsa they served we’re very good, not exceptional but very good. If I could count on them being that level they would be my go to place.I’ll check it out again soon

So me and my mom went to eat there I ordered two enchiladas with beans and rice my mom got 3 tacos. So my mom got tinfoil in her food and I told the waitress and she left it on the table I ate about one of my enchiladas and my beans and rice i’m opening up the second enchilada, and there is bugs in my food the waitress comes back, says sorry leaves the plate on the table five minutes later, she comes and grabs it then about two minutes later the owner comes out and he’s drunk and he says where’s the bug there’s not not even a plate here and I said the waiter took it and then he asked the waiter seen a bug and she shaking her head and the owner says It’s not a Bug. Then I say well I have a picture and he says that’s not a bug it’s seasoning then he says we are lying, and we planted the bug in our food then he says it’s not even our plates and it’s Chinese food dude Chinese food is not enchiladas and then he says it’s not his he takes me back in the kitchen PLEASE DO NOT EAT THE CHIPS the chips are in a big box on the floor and it looks like spilled dr pepper all over the floor the he takes me to the chef the chef did not say anything I walked out on my own we are starting to walk out then the lady at the bar said HEY THEY DID NOT PAY just to remind you they took our food so we are on our way out and another drunk guy at the the bar says why is your mommy paying for your food he says go get a job and a drivers license calling the health department next beware, do not eat here. I’m only 15 years old and shouldn’t be yelled at by a drunk adult.

Iced tea tastes strange. Food wasn’t great and service was slow. They couldn’t fulfill my first order because they were out of poblano pepper. The burrito was just a big blob and the sauce that came on it tasted like sauce from a can of pork and beans. No music and the salsa was more like unsweetened ketchup. The roasted salsa was good, but not worth coming back for.

It’s similar to most Mexican restaurants. Good food. Fast service. Decent prices. We really enjoyed our meal. The waitress helped me pick between my top 3 choices and I was not disappointed. Would definitely eat there again.

We decided to eat here tonight. Our waitress was completely ridiculous. She wouldn’t speak in a tone that was audible against the back ground noise. She was impatient with our child as she was trying to order for herself. We didn’t know the entire drink order upon being seated so she decided that half our party only needed water. She was short in temperament when approached about our drink order, which she then left on the bar for over 5 minutes, walking past multiple times. I tried to order my regular order, which is 3 enchiladas, with shredded beef. I was informed this is not possible as they only come with ground beef. We informed her we wouldn’t be dining here, and she decided to stop waiting on us. Waited excessively to bring what we managed to order and our check.

Best Latin food in town. The seafood platter served on a sizzling plate turned out very tasty. Also had the Ceviche which came out a little bit sour. Recommend trying out their house drinks as well.

Not to shabby,I was looking for some tasty Mexican food and the other place in town had bad ratings and reviews. So this war the destination. Again not bad all the meat in my massive burrito was flavorful and was extremely snappy. Service was pretty good considering we showed up an hour before close. Definitely reccomend the azteca grande. But bring a few friends. It’s big.
