The service was great. The atmosphere is amazing. It’s really nice but the food wasn’t really that great. The presentation was great but it’s bland no flavor. The rice had zero salt in it. No cumin you couldn’t even taste really the tomato sauce in it. Nothing the beans either. The beans were just bland. No salt, no garlic powder. No no no nothing. They were just bland. I ordered the number two chicken. The chicken was just boiled and stuffed in a tortilla for the enchilada. The enchilada sauce didn’t really have any flavor either. The taco was embarrassing. They served the taco and a Taco Bell shell. When you make a taco it should be made in a fried tortilla or a fresh tortilla, not at Old El Paso Taco shell when I got to the tamale even the tamale barely had any flavor. I could taste The chili they use to make the tamale like the only thing that had flavor was the masa and it was dry as hell. I mean if you’re going to charge $21 for a combination plate at least make it flavorful. Make me want to come back. It tastes like hospital food. Like I said, the atmosphere is great. The people are amazing but the food has no flavor. You guys really need to work on that

This was a good dining experience – the food was really good, and my first time at that particular Mayan. It was a birthday for a friend. The facility felt authentically Mexican, the staff likewise very attentive and prompt. We had a back room, and the staff came out and sang happy birthday! The only knock was the building felt old inside, kind of dank.
Besides that, we will go back there when we feel the urge to go out and have some scrumptious Mexican food!

Clean restaurant, friendly staff, large portions. Went during lunch with my family. We were seated upon arriving and greeted by staff immediately. Food was hot.

I was craving nachos and this was the closest place on my way home. I ordered takeout and got a tamale and nachos. The food smelled amazing but the only thing with flavor was the tamale. The nachos had absolutely so flavor. I got beef and chicken and tried both meats alone, together…idk..
I feel like it’s a hit and miss type of thing. I’d go back to try other things (and for the tamales) but maybe only once more to see if all the food is bland.

Update:
On our last visit I was looking forward to their great margaritas. Alas it was not the same delicious drink I had before. I don’t know why but they must have added lots of orange juice and made it much sweet. Is lime more expensive ?! Why make this change. Next time I will make sure to tell them not to add any orange juice.
OLD:This is our favorite Mexican food in Lacey. Best margaritas and nachos in town. The food here is delicious and very reasonable. Service is fast and friendly. Try the fajitas you can’t go wrong.

Good Mexican place close to Olympia. The architecture of the building is unique like a Mayan civilization home. Service was ok and food was served fairly quickly. Vegetarian options were limited on menu but they were able to accommodate our modifications. Taste was good as well. Ask for lunch menu if you visit during lunch hours. Plenty of parking outside.

Well, it used to be good years ago, so we decided to return after my MIL requested Mexican food for her birthday. Something changed since our last visit, though. The food was bland, the chicken in my burrito was chewy, like it had been microwaved, and it was simply “meh”. It reminded me of those pre-cooked chicken breasts that you can buy in the freezer section of Costco. It just was disappointing and all three of us were unimpressed. Its sad – this place used to be a great restaurant. Not sure what happened. I have zero complaints about our server – she was great.

Food was great! Hubby had a chicken burrito, I had the Mexican pizza & our son had 3 beef tacos, didn’t take too long to come out & we all were happy. Typical atmosphere for Mexican food, it was a late lunch & it was kinda busy, our server did laughingly forget my straw request twice but he walked past us often that it wasn’t too long still & he was super nice too. A gal kept my water glass full, I believe a supervisor asked if everything was OK, and the hostess checked us out. It was a great lunch & this place had a good system going on.

I love a good Mexican restaurant and this one didn’t disappoint. Good menu, huge portions and good service.

Chicken Tacos – were stuffed with juicy chicken, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. It came with the usual side of rice and beans. Both very flavourful.

Chicken Tortilla Soup – the broth was amazing and the amount of avocado was impressive. There was a lot of chicken and tortilla chips in there. I’m probably the minority here, but I would have preferred more broth and less chicken and chips. Loved the avocado though. Couldn’t finish the soup as it was so filling.

The Piña Colada was really good. Should have said no whip, but didn’t realize it would be on there.
