My local Mexican spot. Everything here is good. Gauc is awesome and fresh. Good portions. Great presentation. When first introduced to Sandston I did think they were over priced however each time I go the quality and customer service is def a notch above the surrounding and the shrimp tacos are banging! Def worth the price. Nothing good comes cheap! Keep it up, guys!

The churros are DELICIOUS. I never cared
for churros but these changed my mind. The glaze is so good and they’re still edible the next morning, not hard ! 10/10 . the birria empanadas are great you can really taste the lime and cilantro, I would’ve liked a flakier crust. The Mexican rice hit the spot and the kids cheese quesadilla was just that! Overall 9/10

OMG show out to this place ! I am in town visiting my brothers in law and we got here late at Friday around 11pm and we ordered food from Mayas restaurant at DoorDash. The food was still warm when we ate it. The flavor was amazing !! I loved the pancho villa burrito it was fantastic. My husband got the birria quesadilla and my brother in law got the steak torta. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend this place.

Without a doubt, some of the best Latin-influenced food that I have ever experienced. We ordered chicken tacos, steak quesadilla and yuca fries. All were extraordinary. This restaurant is now on my “I’d go out of my way to eat there again” places.

I had the Oaxa burrito and the churro cheesecake they were a takeout order that was super fresh. I can tell everything was homemade even the chips and salsa. The cheesecake crust is even homemade

Called to place a order for pick up. I got hung up on. Then I realized that maybe the person answering the phone didnt speak English. He was listing for key items on the menu but didnt understand anything else. So I called back twice. No answer. I decided to call from my other phone and someone immediately picked up. I asked if there was someone available who spoke English so I could place my order, I then started speaking Spanish and I was hung up on again. I called back 8 times and no one answered.
I would never spend my money at a restaurant that gets upset with me because they dont speak English. I live out of the country and have to speak a foreign language everyday, so I was willing to speak Spanish to try to communicate. But hanging up on me and then refusing to answer is absolutely unacceptable for any reason.
A restaurant should be welcoming business and being accommodating to guests to help them place their order. Whoever answer the phone was very rude. I hope it wasn’t the owner because that is NOT how businesses should be ran. A complete disappointment of an establishment. Ill take my $200 order to another restaurant that respects people, especially ones who dont speak Spanish right away.

Ordered carne enchiladas but received Al pastor instead—one of the only types of tacos I don’t like. I waited nearly an hour for my food, only to be disappointed. To make matters worse, the food was cold. They’re usually on point, so I’m not sure how this mix-up happened. I ended up giving the food to my husband and went to a competitor for tacos instead. What if I couldn’t eat pork for religious reasons? Very disappointing experience this time around.

Went here instead of the 30 minute wait at en su boca and was pleasantly surprised! This is so worth the drive if you have to make one. We got the birria tacos and it easily is the best I’ve had in Richmond if not everywhere. Customer service was awesome we will definitely be back.
