Came here on a blustery December day with two friends for the very first time for lunch, on the recommendation of another friend who is South Asian Indian and a vegetarian. We started with Masala chai tea and Mulligautanny soup to chase away winter’s chill before enjoying Vegetarian Thali — an array of dishes, including Saag Paneer, Samosa, Naan, Papadum, Jalfrezi, Chana Masala, and more. Also tried the steamed Nepali Momo and Onion Kulcha. Everything was delicious, prepared with just the right amount of savor and spices as well as presented with a graceful aesthetic. We will definitely be back to explore the rest of the authentic menu. Our lovely host Reema took our group’s photo to help us commemorate our small reunion. We left with happy bellies full and a promise to return. Look for public parking nearby or take the Metro red line to Bethesda station to this real, cozy gem

So glad my husband and I stumbled upon this excellent, welcoming, reasonably priced restaurant!
We were staying at the hotel across the street and most restaurants in the immediate vicinity are pricey, expense-account type places but Maya Cuisine feels like a good neighborhood restaurant. Both my meat-eating husband and I, a vegetarian, were delighted. Seemed like the many other tables of diners were also really enjoying their meals and the comfortable atmosphere,

I first came here 4 years ago after my wife had brain surgery at NIH. She was wanting her favorite Indian Food, butter chicken. I ordered the butter chicken, butter garlic naan and Somas. My wife and I was not disappointed. We travel a lot and seldom find an Indian restaurant she likes. The food is outstanding!!! The dining room is cute and reminds me of a family ran establishments of which we do not have enough in this country. The prices are a relief for what we see in the area. Every year we come back for medical follow up and we get a meal from this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

This place was super delish.
The vibe was quaint and homey, not tons of tables but plenty of space for folks.
The food was really really good – got mostly veggie options and the green sauce is amazing. I did not get many photos because starving after traveling but I would highly suggest visiting – especially if staying in a near by hotel.

I recently dined at this establishment and I must say, I was quite impressed. The food offered here is of excellent quality and is priced reasonably. One of their standout offerings is the Thali, which includes a generous portion of various curries, papad, and even dessert, making it a complete and satisfying meal.
Furthermore, the location is very convenient, as it is located just beside the Bethesda metro station. During my visit, the servers were courteous and the food arrived in a timely manner, which enhanced the overall dining experience.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine at an affordable price, with the added convenience of its location.

If you like non-greasy healthy Indian food, this is a right place for you. I liked all vegetarian dishes. Flavorful, little salt. Healthy for average Americans.
Lamb was good but chicken was dry.
Naan and papadum were very good.
