Maya NY is a great spot overall. The food is genuinely tasty and their brunch is especially impressive — fresh, flavorful, and really well put together. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a relaxed, satisfying meal.

The one downside was the margarita, which was unfortunately below average and didn’t match the quality of the food. Service was decent — nothing extraordinary, but friendly and efficient enough to keep the experience enjoyable.

Overall, a solid place with great brunch vibes and good food. I’d happily come back, just skipping the margarita next time.

I stopped in at this restaurant for brunch! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into a busy restaurant. I was greeted and sat An Rachel was my server and she was great. I ordered from their Bottomless brunch and a la carte menu. I ordered:

Red Sangria
Short Rib Flautas
Chicken Tinga Tacos
Huevos a la Mexicana
Mimosa Flight (Traditional, Mango, Strawberry, Maya with blood orange)
Traditional Margarita
Skirt steak Fajitas

The food as delicious and the Huevos were my favorite! All in all good experience!

Me and the girls went to brunch here, and it was such a great experience! I wish I could remember our server’s name because she was amazing — so attentive, on point, and fast. She never let our cups get empty, and the food came out non-stop. The portions may look small because they’re served “sharing style,” but don’t be fooled — it’s unlimited, so you’ll definitely leave full. The drinks were strong with just the right splash of orange juice, exactly how I like it.
We will be making this our spot

The service and atmosphere was amazing for their happy hours. Our server was really nice and attentive.

The food options for the happy hour was good. But I preferred the nachos the most

Love this place! Officially my new favorite spot. The bottomless brunch is 100% worth it. Everything we tried was flavorful and perfectly done.
I also came back for happy hour, and wow! The margaritas were strong, exactly how they should be.
Special shoutout to Andrew, our server, hands down the best. Super attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better.
Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Went to MAYA for lunch which I realized was more brunch than lunch. We didn’t do the bottomless option which might have been a mistake but got two single dishes instead. Food was delicious and served/presented well on the plate. Prices seemed reasonable for what it was. Portions however, were small, which is why I recommend doing the bottomless option for $49. There is an additional bottomless option that includes drinks for $59. This, by the way, is only guaranteed for the brunch menu. I am not sure if the dinner menu offers any similar options. Definitely recommend if in the area for some good Mexican cuisine.

Came here for Valentines Day with my partner! Absolutely loved the food. We had so many favorites. We did bottomless food and drinks. Although the kitchen was extremely backed up, the service was great. Our server Alfredo made sure to take care of us the best way he could. He was attentive and kind. Absolutely would try this place again on a less chaotic holiday. Strongly recommend. The tunes were impeccable! Had me wanting to dance at many points 🙂 shout out to the manager, as well! So sweet <3

BRING IT ON MAYA RESTAURANT

Lately I’ve been on a continuous quest to find the best Margarita on the UES of NYC.
Today I walked past MAYA Mexican restaurant on 1st Ave. They had a sign that said something about happy hour and margaritas.
I WOULD HAVE TO BE THERE BEFORE HAPPY HOUR ENDED AT 6 PM
OUCH
I walked in at 6:30 and my server had me time travel ½ hour to the past and produced an AWESOME MARGARITA
I like mine on the rocks with salt.
Not sure about the lime

We went for a birthday brunch and the food was good but the drinks were just juice. No alcohol and I was disappointed. We pay money for juice. Stick to the mimosas. I have been here before and that was not our experience. The service to our table was lacking and we only had 90 min. I had to get the manager to get our service. The table behind us was a large table and got all the attention. I was very disappointed and will not go back. I rather pay full price for actual cocktails and food. The saying is you get what you pay for.

I happened in here just before 7 last weekend when a place I’d been planning to go nearby was full. And what a find!! Who knew this place a) has a happy hour even on weekends that goes till 7 and b) it’s got to be one of the best deals on the UES with $5 margaritas and a selection of bites. I took one sip of my margarita, unsure of what $5 would get me, but it was legit and I quickly ordered another before the clock struck 7. I ordered the flautas off the happy hour menu, which were also quite good. In fact, the only bit of a letdown were the short rib tacos I ordered off the main menu, which were a bit dry . On the strength of their happy hour though, I’ll overlook that and be back for a return visit.
