This steamboat restaurant in Cameron Highlands is a perfect place to enjoy a comforting meal in the cool weather. The vegetables are exceptionally fresh, sourced directly from local farms, making every bite crisp and wholesome. Paired with a flavorful steamboat soup, the warm, bubbling broth feels especially satisfying in the chilly highland climate. It’s an ideal spot to slow down, enjoy fresh ingredients, and warm yourself with a delicious steamboat meal.

On vacation in Cameron Highlands and chanced upon this restaurant as we went searching for food – was not disappointed. It closes in the afternoon and opens again at 6pm so it’s easy to miss if you get the timing wrong. By >7pm, the place is quite packed so we were lucky to be there early. Food was very reasonably priced and more importantly, flavorful and a hearty portion. We went there 2 nights in a row. Recommended.

We ate here for dinner on our first evening in Cameron Highlands. It was a cool evening, and we were walking around, hungry, and unsure what to eat. When in doubt,
always go for the most crowded place! This restaurant was almost fully seated, and there was only one table remaining. We took it instantly and started to place our orders. The food came fairly quickly despite the huge dinner crowd. Whilst everyone else was having steamboat, we opted for a la carte menu instead. The food was delicious and it was largely due to the fact that we were starving since the last meal we had was 12 hours ago. It was a cozy place and bustling with activity. Parking spots are also readily available outside the restaurant.

Tasty steamboat! We had food there in December 2024, craving a steamboat feast. It offers simple and good quality at a reasonable price.
We went for chicken soup and Tomyam soup. We enjoyed it, tried for the first time jellyfish. It was too much food for us, we didn’t manage to finish it

Came back to May Flower for nostalgic purpose. This restaurant is one of the old establishments in Tanah Rata area, and one of the earliest restaurants that I dined in when I came to Cameron Highlands many years ago.
Quite popular among the locals and tourists alike, they have individual meals, dai chow as well as steamboats because it’s perfect for the cooling weather. It’s not unusual to see foreigners tucking into fried rice or noodle while eating here because there’s a popular bunker hotel next to it.
◾Their strength might be in their salted egg yolk dish as I had their bitter gourd and “dragon moustache” vegetable in this style.. and both delivered! Even my friend agreed that they are good in this.
◾Fried enoki mushroom made a perfect snacks
◾yin choy in superior soup warmed the tummy in the weather.
◾Fried chicken in fermented beancurd tasted normal but enjoyable nonetheless.
◾fried spring rolls in caul fat had the crunchiness of vegetable inside.
◾Bah Kut Teh was forgettable
◾Their pork dishes might be a bit stingy in portion given the high price of the meat lately. The black pepper fared far better than the kung Po version.

Delicious food. Staff could estimate the size portion for us when we ordered the dishes. Reasonable price. We went back happy. 🙂

Have always wanted to try this shop but it’s usually super packed. Managed to drop by for lunch and got a place. Opted for the 2 flavor steamboat. Owners were friendly and we were attended to quickly. Broth was yummy. Portion size is dependent on number of pax. I think it was appropriate. Its always amazing to have steamboat in a cold environment. Definetely a must do in Camerons. Enjoyed myself immensely. Don’t mind coming back

Usually crowded so we were there at 6pm when they open. Ingredients are fresh and have good selection of local vegetable produce. The stock for steamboat is clear soup and has the right herbal taste. The salted egg fried local vegetable is quite unique.
