Our favorite dishes included the Tremolo bread (made by a baker who grinds their own flour) with whipped ricotta and hot honey, the Scarpinocc (stuffed pasta with chèvre, corn and mushrooms) and the Chicken Schnitzel (perfectly crisp and topped with corn, peppers and mushrooms). All the dishes had a great combination of textures and flavors and were innovative without being pretentious.
We were delayed for our reservation because our day hike to Camels Hump took longer than anticipated. Fortunately, we phoned ahead and deeply appreciated that they were able to accommodate us at a later time. High points for service right there! Our server was friendly and helpful. Noise level was high. Relaxed atmosphere.
We ordered 4 dishes for a party of 2 and it was the right amount. I hope to return again on a future trip to Burlington. Highly recommend!!
They were semi finalists in the 2025 James Beard awards… And you can see why. We tried the tuna crudo (10/10), tremolo bread, fried green tomatoes, crispy pork belly (10/10), grilled vegetables and more.
Cannot recommend this place enough. Seek it out. Make the time.
Best service, best vibes, best food!
In the pictures we fries, Gem lettuce, pork belly and Tuna crudo. Drink is a Madrid sour.
I will be definitely going again.
The quality of food definitely seems to be there as far as sourcing and freshness, which I love; though I just did not feel that taste, texture or prep was in the tier of its price point. The flavors seemed a bit one-note or bland for my dishes of the pork belly and the grilled beans and the preparation of the pork belly seemed very basic—the fat rendering, juiciness, tenderness, etc. wasn’t quite there. The raspberry sauce on the pork belly was very sweet and struck me as one-note.
It seemed as if they went for simplicity over creativity at least in my experience with my dishes; which some might appreciate. I left just sort of feeling like I could have prepared the same dishes for myself, which isn’t quite what I’m going for at the price point.
Even though I felt a little let-down by the food, I think this place deserves its success and would look forward to seeing new dishes. Maybe it was a one-off sub-par experience. That creativity or taste wow-factor just didn’t really seem to be there for me!
We are pescatarian and plenty of options and the fish had a perfect sear and golden crust!
Pasta was fresh and delicious. I couldn’t remember all the dishes but the menu changes often.
Bring back the mushroom toast! Hands down most delicious thing I’ve eaten this year!
We had sword fish, pasta, bread, and a few drinks. All great !
