The saving grace for this place is the exceptional service by Octavion. From his greeting to the level of care he gave us as we sat outside…tremendous. The food is pricey for the portion size. I ordered gumbo and maybe had 3 spoon fulls of content; the rest of the bowl size container was broth. While it was good, I was disappointed to only had 3 spoons of the gumbo part. Yes, 3 spoonfuls. For $40, you get one redfish filet and a side. It was decent but used to two filets for that price. The Greek salad and dressing both were good.

We stopped by Maxwell’s for lunch and the falafel sandwich was pretty good, though I wish they had offered a spicier sauce option. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, which made for a pleasant meal.

My lamb gyro was absolutely wonderful the pita was so fresh and soft. The meat was full of flavor. Made fresh on the spot. The staff here super friendly. I stopped in at 11 PM and was so nice to be able to find a place that stays open late and serves good food. Huge menu too!

Ordered by postmates.. the $9 Philly sandwich was screaming for more cheese but was approximately sized. The gyro meat was fine but again with a lacking of sauce… they should NOT be this shy with they sauce! Otherwise chicken tendys were where they were supposed to be with an oversized helping of fries.

Yo. Absolutely amazing. First time ordering from this place. I grabbed the lamb gyro and fries. The gyro is so flavorful the meat isn’t dry and well well seasoned the tahini sauce takes it a step further. My food was hot and ready within the time frame they gave me. Definitely making this spot a go-to for quick and convenient food. Especially at this time of night.

Be careful!!!! The staff took my card and said they would charge me a certain amount and then charged me more. When I confronted them they said “we’re not going to give you a refund” and when I told them I would report them they said they didn’t care. I hope they’re not doing this to everyone but just in case check your charges.

This place is freaking awesome! The best gyro I ever had in my life and seasoned french fries to die for with a drink and now get this – 10 bucks. The gyro was so big that I have it for lunch and dinner. That’s good information if you go there on a date

I am quite familiar with Maxwell’s. I spent a lot of time there this past winter taking part in outdoor hooka. I loved it however they never let the flame go up high and it was impossible to stay warm! They get an A for effort l. Around this same time I fell in love with their lamb shawarma. I had never tasted anything like it. During this last 3 months I haven’t been to Maxwell’s and decided to order take it through bite squad. Their shawarma was dry and I also ordered a Philly cheesesteak that was amazing. I also ordered a pizza puff and a sambusa. Their sambusa used to be very big compared to what they are now and they charge $2 for 1 small one via bitesquad. I was disappointed by this. I think Maxwell’s maybe slowly declining or they don’t care about the quality of their delivery. I will say that the sauce that is accompanied with the sambusa is sweet, tangy and amazing. I love their hooka and customer service is exceptional.

Maxwell’s Cafe is my go-to spot for the best hookah in Minneapolis! The flavors are always fresh and smooth, and the coals are changed regularly so it smokes perfectly the whole time. I love that it’s a calm and quiet environment with no loud music — it’s perfect for relaxing, talking, and actually hearing the people you’re with. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome every time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a chill hookah lounge!

Come down to this little hidden gem down by the city. It’s a great little spot where they take care of the food, prices are really great too. Whether you want to much munch on some food, take a break and enjoy some Turkish coffee, or enjoy a bit of ice cream, come on down! And if you need some groceries as well, theres a little convenience store right next door.
