Had a delicious dinner here with such a delightful and generous server! Wish I knew her name, she was SO good and kind. Everyone was good but she was exceptional. I had the salmon with a baked potato and spinach (she graciously let me tweak the usual to get what I really wanted) and it was extremely good. What a treat! My friend had the salmon dish as it normally came and she loved it. Their hot chocolate was also tasty. Highly recommend!

A really nice restaurant upstairs at the holiday inn. Good food & good service. A bit pricey for the food though. $14 for a salad with no meat is a bit much, IMO. Chicken on the Chinese salad tasted like rubber, they took $2 off the bill for that since we didn’t want any more chicken. Everyone else really enjoyed their food though.

This place is tucked behind the Holiday Inn, great place for delicious desserts and drinks and food. We enjoyed a great meal, we both had salads, Cobb Salad and Chicken Cesar, I didn’t get her name but our waitress was awesome, she took great care of us and kept our ice teas full the atmosphere was great, looked like they have a nice happy hour lounge area, as well as a nice outdoor patio area to enjoy your meal. Over all the place felt and looked clean. It’s definitely worth stopping bye for a nice sit down meal.

Hotel-attached restaurant with nice “cabin-like” interior, including a fireplace, and nice bar with seating and several large TVs.
Food is largely pre-made, it feels: chicken pot pie was overcooked; frozen burger patties were sub-par, however baked goods seemed made on site. Not bad for a night “in” if staying at that Holiday Inn (and if you don’t want the In N Out that shares the hill with the hotel).

We have been coming here off and on for years and have always enjoyed the variety of the menu. The full bar provides lots of options for drinks. This last time we both ordered off the sandwich menu. The chicken melt looked perfect with a combination of avocado and caramelized onions, but was disappointed that there was no bread choice. The bread was grilled and, as a result, very greasy. The same was true for the Reuben, which was ordered without sauerkraut. The greasiness of the bread distracted away from the sandwich. We very much enjoyed the pretzel and cheese sauce appetizer, and our cocktails were great. Weren’t offered any bread, and noticed later everyone else received it. Finally, ordered a slice of carrot cake to go, and for $8 you would expect a slice much larger than 2″ at the widest side. We’ll return, but will likely order differently.

This is a really nice restaurant at the Holiday Inn in Auburn. A big plus are the 2 charging stations in the parking lot. Of course it’s great for travelers but locals enjoy this restaurant as well. We had the delicious Mushroom Ravioli stuffed with mushrooms and ricotta cheese with a mushroom sauce, and the Chicken Sambocca which is a chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto with a fettuccine with a light sauce on the side. Excellent service always, fabulous desserts there as well.

The absolute worst customer service in recent memory. After being seated in a very dimly back corner of the dining area, I ordered a simple sandwich and fries and waited just under an hour, while watching several tables who were seated after me served their orders. Finally a gentleman who looked like a dishwasher but professed to be the manager came out and apologized saying they had dropped my order. Which is of course ridiculous because in the time they made me wait they could have finished the order, brought it to my table, dropped it 3 ft away, gone back into the kitchen, made the order again, dropped it again, and made a third order. That was not an accident, that is sheer incompetence and blatant dishonesty.
I will not be returning..

This was a great reasonably priced place which was centrally located for 9 family members getting together for a Sunday holiday lunch.
Several tables were put together, not too close to many other people – the various
angles in the ceiling and adequate soft surfaces provided very good acoustics (allowing people to hear all conversations) – okay maybe there was one 93 year-old who said “What?” a lot.
We arrived at noon and were given the choice of some breakfast/brunch items and a
complete menu of normal meals. Our group mostly went for sandwiches, or half sandwiches and soup or salad. Nobody had a problem finding something of interest, but I don’t think we are too picky of a group.
My Veggie Burger was very good and really quite spicy. I heard a couple of comments about things being a bit too salty, but I think that is somewhat the nature of the beast. Everyone said they were satisfied with their meal.
The service was very good. There is a lot of accessible parking.

Looking for a Happy Hour spot or a restaurant to enjoy a delicious salad? Max’s Restaurant and Bar boast of having “everything you’ve always wanted to eat”. They have a high-quality menu with fresh ingredients. The Cobb salad was generously portioned and prepared to perfection. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 3 to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. The beer and wine selection is local and they have a full service bar. I would recommend the restaurant have live music on the patio. It would being in customers and they would stay longer. This would be a great Happy Hour date spot. Either sit on the patio for some privacy or find a cozy spot in the bar area. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY
