4.8 my foot.. those are either paid reviews, or family. No disrespect intended but the food was awful and the young gal at the counter was very snippy/rude (in addition to getting my order wrong)… if you hate your job, quit..please and thank you.

The pizza was bland, hardly any sauce and the breaded wings were TERRIBLE! Those should be removed from your menu TODAY. Yuk!

I wanted the desserts to be good… nope. 🙁

Sorry, especially at local fast food pizza places I have pretty low standards, but for $28 for 2 lil cubes of cardboard, 6 disgusting wings, and 2 deserts that just didn’t cut it.. I’ll find somewhere else to spend my money. There are several places for pizza and wings in the area.

Very nice people there and the pizza is awesome! So are the garlic bread sticks! That’s what we got. First time customer but will surely be back for more!!! A+++ Wish we tried this back when they opened. Not just the best pizza in Johnstown but some of the best I’ve have anywhere. And I’m a truck driver that goes all over the U.S. From the crust to the sauce to the cheese and pepperoni and all over flavor it’s perfect!!

It did not take long for Max’s to become our go to place for takeout! The sweetness of the pizza sauce is terrific, the wing dings are always cooked to perfection with the dipping sauce being great as well, hoagies, Stromboli’s, etc. everything is terrific. Always fast and great service too!

Our go to pizza place! Usually just get cheese pizza but opted for something different. The crazy Hawaiian is absolutely amazing. Also first time for the chef salad and it was delicious. Service is always excellent and a very clean establishment.

Tried for the first time11/22/25. We got a tray of pizza and fried mushrooms. Pizza was perfectly cooked. Mushroom were the best fried mushrooms I’ve had in the area. They were clean, not greasy, and the breading was crunchy.

Being raised in a restaurant family we understand the meaning of hard work. I picked up on that as soon as I entered Max’s pizza. The smell of sauces being made and of course the ovens firing up. We ordered 12 cut square pizza chef salad which was amazing. ALSO ADDED 2 CHEESECAKE SLICES. You were not leaving the shop with an abundance of an order that most likely you find 3 weeks later in the back of refrigerator. Will definitely return.
