Other than the presentation, the food was also sub par. The taco meat was disgustingly salty; the lettuce brown and welty; and the tomato super squishy (probably way over rip). Staff is extremely nice, though.

Been coming since 1980. Always great food. Never had any problems with the food. If there’s a problem and you’re not 100% satisfied with your meal, they will make it right. Says so on their website and always has been their viewpoint. Place is usually packed. Fantastic prices. Be sure to print their website coupon for 10% off your meal. They don’t accept mobile phone or tablet coupons. Gotta make an effort there.

Ordered pick up for lunch today – chicken burrito, side of rice, sweet tea and lunch fajitas. The food we got tasted fine, but we did not receive our rice or our tea! AND WE PAID FOR IT. There were only 5 cars in the parking lot. They could do better. But the lady at the drive thru window was very nice.

We were helped from the very start with where to sit, given menus and asked what we wanted to drink while getting ready with our choice. We were served warm chips and salsa. My husband wanted the hot salsa, which was served right away. Everything was served, drinks kept refilled, etc. Our bill was placed on the table along with if we wanted a to-go, or our drinks. There was even a girl going around with a broom and dust pan, asking me if it was okay to do it near us, twice. Excellent!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would, especially if it meant they could stay open. It may have only been once in a while, but I’ve eaten here ever since I could remember and I’m 23 now. It’s been my dad’s favorite Mexican restaurant since ’84 and my mom’s favorite since ’93 . Service was always exceptional, the food was always delicious. Nothing was ever just ok, everything was incredible, from the first bite of chips and salsa, to the last sip of your drink after a good meal along with the Andes Mint chocolates lol. I always felt very welcome at Max’s like I was with members of my own family. It truly breaks my heart that they’re closing their doors for good, I’d like to think Max’s may come back in the future and I could take my future family there so they can have the same experience I did. While that future isn’t certain I do know this, I plan to eat at Max’s…one last time. I wish all the staff the best of luck and I thank you for the years that you’ve given us this wonderful experience.
