Stopped in for lunch and honestly loved every minute of it. The Caesar salad was incredible — easily the best I’ve had in Glasgow. The portion was generous, fresh, and really satisfying. The dressing was spot on, the romaine crisp, and the chicken had the perfect crunch. Simple, well done, and great value.
The service made it even better. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole place had a cool, easygoing vibe. I felt comfortable right away and could actually relax and enjoy my meal.
Can’t recommend this spot enough — already looking forward to coming back. Definitely deserves the five stars
We visited this bar during the kitchen pop-up for restaurant Sub126 and unfortunately the overall experience was quite disappointing, despite the food itself being lovely.
When we arrived, there was no one available to seat us, so after waiting for a while we sat ourselves at a table. There were four empty tables at the time. Shortly after, a waitress told us the table might be reserved and that we may need to move. We then had to wait while she checked with another staff member, after which we were asked to move to a very small, cramped table squeezed uncomfortably between two others.
Once the table next to us became free, we politely asked if we could move there, as it was the same size and our current table would then be available if it was needed for a reservation. The waitress was dismissive and rude when we asked. Notably, the original table we were asked to move from remained empty for the entire hour and a half we were there.
Ordering was also frustrating. Our order was very simple (two items from the menu) but had to be repeated multiple times. We brought cash to pay and were then told food was card-only, which was fine, but this wasn’t stated anywhere beforehand and was communicated with very little customer service.
We waited around 45 minutes for our food. When it arrived, one dish was barely warm and a dip we had paid £1 extra for was missing. At that point, we felt uncomfortable asking staff again as the atmosphere already felt quite unwelcoming.
The food itself was genuinely nice, which made the experience even more disappointing. However, the service really let the bar down. The waitress seemed lacking in confidence, spoke very quietly, and came across as dismissive throughout. Overall, while the pop-up food was good, the service and organisation at the bar made the visit unenjoyable.
