recently tried the jerk chicken at Max Grill BBQ, and it was absolutely amazing. The chicken was perfectly grilled with a rich smoky flavor and the authentic jerk seasoning was on point — spicy, flavorful, and very satisfying. The meat was tender and juicy, and you could tell it was freshly prepared.
The portions were generous and the overall taste really stood out. If you enjoy good Caribbean-style jerk chicken, Max Grill BBQ is definitely a place worth checking out. I’ll definitely be going back for more!

the food is absolutely delicious, truly amazing. the jerk chicken was obviously phenomenal, but the SIDES!! best mac n cheese and best collard greens i’ve ever had in my life, and i’m from texas! i’d suggest getting it as takeout, because it does get a little smoky in the lobby, and the seating area is pretty small, but that’s to be expected. the guy that owns the place is really cool too.

When I tell you their food took me right back to Jamaica on the beach, believe me… It was so delicious and the Jamaican taste will not disappoint you. I had the short ribs and I’ve never seen so much meat on a short rib… Deeelicious….❤️

I was fortunate to be with Anna for my initial visit. This is the best Jamaican food in the south suburbs. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. The portions are HUGE. I have had many of the dishes on the menu and have enjoyed every one of them. The sauces are Jamaican hot. I love the plantains yams and cabbage. Pleasant people like Anna and Chance. They easily earned my rare 5 stars. I’m a regular now. ***Still the best jerk in the south. Still bangin!

Drove from Milwaukee again to eat here. I’ve been a total of 5 or 6 times and the food is declining. Red beans and rice was fire. The yams were good and the salmon was good too. But the Mac was trash, cabbage was a bit salty but had a nice crisp to them..now the greens were another story. They were chopped extremely small with lots of stems in them. The flavor was off, salty, a bit gritty and just all around not good. They guy did give me cabbage to compensate so that was nice. Just please bring the food back from 2021-2023 PLEASE
Today was my third time visiting..I drive from Milwaukee just to eat here. I haven’t been in a while and the lady that made my food the first two times was not there. I had turkey tips the first time and the second time I had her dinner literally lol she had just made fish so I purchased hers! Today I had the Samon dinner. The fish was extremly burnt on the scaling area..I just scraped it off no biggie BUT the yams were so soft and dark in color that I felt like they were from a can. Just mushy and not good. The cabbage mac and red beans and rice was good BUT you can tell that it was not cooked by the Queen. The taste was just off. That being said only way I’m eating here again is if the QUEEN makes my food.

This food was gross!! It was $58 for oxtail dinner and chicken Alfredo. The food was wrapped in aluminum foil, spilling literally out the bag, it was nasty! Had bones in the Alfredo because they used meat from a chicken thigh. The oxtails was all fat, macaroni disgusting! Rice crunchy! You can tell this food was not fresh! It was at least 3 days old. This was my first time going and never again! DO NOT BELIEVE THESE REVIEWS. And the inside of the restaurant filthy. I want my money back so bad. Literally threw ALL OF IT IN THE GARBAGE.

The guy chance is amazing. The food is impeccable. I always get the beef short ribs, macaroni and cabbage, and it never ever misses the taste buds that goes crazy on your tongue. When you taste his food it’s like an explosion of greatness in your mouth and it makes your belly so full and happy and it also keeps you thick in all the right places. I just wanna say thank you. This place is definitely a Gem!

By living in this area for 10 plus years, this is my first time trying out this establishment since I heard decent reviews especially their Jerk Mac and Cheese. I’ve ordered the jerk wings. The wings are grilled perfectly and tender. The takeaway was that the jerk sauce is spicy and kinda bland. I was lucky to have Walkerswood Jerk Marinate Sauce to compensate. The service from what I believe is the owner was unwelcoming.
As an independent business consultant, customer service is key especially when you have customers patronizing your business. So of course, I’ve matched his same energy back. Even trade.
Overall, the wings are good. Would I come back? If the customer service is more friendly.

We showed up on Sunday at 11:45 am after church, hungrier than ever. It was our first time there and we walk in and he tells us they’re usually open at 1 pm but the man told us he opened early just because (God is good ). We ordered 2 jerk chicken dinners and 1 beef rib dinner. Everything was seasoned perfectly, the plates were STACKED, and it was so fresh! The collard greens, yams, and mac n cheese was BOMB. You gotta try it!
