Great service. Good menu options. Restaurant was busy. Good buzz. Everything came out as ordered and not rushed or slow. Good specials and restaurant week menu. Great wine list and some good cocktail options. I will be returning.

My husband and I finally checked out Max a Mia’s new location in Avon and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautifully designed — aesthetically pleasing, sophisticated, and such a great atmosphere for a night out.

Our server, Taylor, was absolutely lovely. She was attentive, kind, and made our experience even better. The food was excellent, as always. And if you know, you know — I always order the coconut cake. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and order it next time you’re there. It’s a 10/10 every single time.

We ordered dessert to go, and unfortunately when I got home, I realized we were given two tiramisus instead of a tiramisu and my beloved coconut cake. I was honestly devastated because I had been looking forward to it all night.

I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, Lauren, who was so kind and understanding. Between her and another employee, Liz, they truly went above and beyond — they personally delivered a slice of coconut cake to my home the next day (and I live about 30 minutes away!). That level of customer service and hospitality is rare.

I cannot express how appreciative I was. Incredible food, beautiful ambiance, and some of the best customer service around. If you haven’t tried Max a Mia yet, put it on your to-do list. You won’t regret it.

We had an amazing dinner with fantastic service! The new restaurant is beautiful and looks great for Xmas. The bread service was delicious with roasted garlic and a side of sauce. We also had roasted veggies, a salad, salmon and the tagliatelle bolognese. Everything was fantastic. And the pizza looked delicious.! We will be back!

Talia was our server today. She was lovely and gave suggestions on specials and items to eat. When my salmon was slightly undercooked she got them to quickly redo the offer and gave us dessert on the house. Food is pretty good overall. Would definitely recommend.

Typical Max establishment: professional service, mostly good but not overly inventive dishes, generous portions, and reasonable price point. Eggplant lasagna and ragú were our favorites. Lobster agnolotti and raviolo were decent but missed the mark. Octopus was solid but not overly special.

We had our rehearsal dinner last Thursday and it far surpassed our expectations! Max a Mia put our party of about 20 people in a beautiful private room and even printed off the cutest menus to commemorate our event!

Our waitresses, Grace and Avery, were so attentive and did a wonderful job. The food was delicious (highly recommend the Caesar salad and ragu bolognese!) and came out perfectly timed between courses. The cocktails were also fresh and well balanced. Liz the special events manager was so helpful leading up to the event and we were so happy we chose Max a Mia (especially in their beautiful new space!). We’re so grateful and look forward to visiting again and enjoying dinner!

Greeted immediately at the door. Seated promptly at the reserved time on a very busy valentine’s day. The staff is polite and personable. The new location is convenient and parking is ample. The decor is wonderful and floor plan is easy to navigate.
The valentine’s day prefix menu was ample and varied,as is the standard menu. Our selections from the Appitizer to dessert met our expectations: excellent excellent excellent. We have always had well presented and delicious food: oysters al forno and seafood salad ample and tasty; spaghetti cacio e pepe and eggplant parmesan are favorites; spice crusted ahi tuna cooked perfectly and the Chianti braised beef braciole excellent. Pistachio cheesecake and chocolate bonete alla Piedmontese too delicious to not finish.
Our server was helpful and prompt and personable.

An excellent valentine’s dinner

Max a Mia Ristorante is an absolute must for food lovers — the cooking is exceptional, easily five stars, and every dish shows a level of care and skill that is hard to find. The service is attentive and warm, adding to an overall enjoyable experience. The one area that lets the side down is the atmosphere, which feels a little plain and doesn’t quite do justice to the outstanding food being served. A more inviting and characterful dining room would make Max a Mia truly complete.

Disappointed with this new location from the food to the service. #BringBackTheBread

Food: Menu is still solid (shout-out to the Tuscan salad and chicken parm holding down the menu); however, I will always remember having their bread with roasted garlic and sauce since I was a child, but since moving locations the bread service is cut in half. We used to get multiple nice pieces with more than enough sauce and tangy olives to fill up on if we weren’t careful. Now the individual bread slices seem smaller and we felt lucky enough a piece of bread per person. Good luck trying to get more.

Drinks: Cocktails were fair but took too long. Not worth the money.

Service: Bring your pillow so you can nap while waiting for your server. They might have been overwhelmed. Ordered a cocktail when we got there but didn’t get it until after we finished our appetizers while waiting for dinner.

Atmosphere: Looks great from the outside but it is way too crowded indoors. It’s loud and with so many pockets and corners that it’s begging your server to forget about you. Haven’t tried the bar but it looked fun.
