What a cool little spot! My cheeseburger was very juicy and delicious, I definitely want to go back for another one. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, nice and juicy and tender, not even a little chewy, like you’ll get it a lot of places. They’ve probably got the best sweet potato fries I’ve had any restaurant. Our waitress was consistent, kept my sweet tea full, and kept checking on us. When we weren’t sure what kind of beer my wife wanted, the manager came over and let her sample one and she loved it. Incredible service, a comfy atmosphere, and very good food!

The food was good; however, it took a while to get seated and served. Our waiter was nice, but I guess short staffed. There was about 4 staff members that I saw, but when we asked for assistance from the older staff personnel she said “that’s not my table and I don’t no their number “. But whatever, we finally got assistance from the guy and all was well.

This place used to better but recently has gone downhill within the last few years.They charged my family a 20% fee for a large party since we have three children. The food quality does not match up to the high prices. Before COVID I would have recommended this place to anyone on their way to the island but since 2021 the service (like many other restaurants) has gone completely downhill. I am not a local but I have been coming to Sunset 3-4 times per year every year since 1996.

Staying at Sunset Beach, my wife and another couple decided to try Mavericke Pointe for dinner. We were quickly greeted and seated by our waitress Hilda. She took care of our every need, drinks, food etc. she was wonderful! The live music added to the atmosphere. Our burgers, fries and wings were delicious! Hilda made our first visit to the restaurant special! We will be back

We had an absolutely amazing lunch at Mavericks Point at Sunset Beach today! I just had to try their Mushrooms Burger with Swiss cheese—it was absolutely delicious! As an appetizer, we had oysters served on a rich, homemade sauce that was just mouthwatering. The restaurant’s ambiance was incredibly comfortable, relaxing, and inviting. Great music and exceptional service, with our server being exceptionally friendly and attentive, made it a sweet dining experience. It’s no wonder this is our second time dining at Mavericks. I highly recommend it!

Just order appetizers which were fine, free pop corn was yum! Service over all was good, bartenders were great, but our waitress seemed super annoyed with us for staying to watch football games and have a few drinks. I could understand if it was packed and they needed the table but that wasn’t the case and the bar was full so we could move there. Met family from out of town on a Friday night for a few drinks. Bar service was great. Staff very friendly. We didn’t have any food. Unbelievably, closing time was 9pm!! They were kind enough to stay open until 10.
