We just had lunch and as of today, it’s my favorite in the area. We had the lunch enchilada and taco and all the food was great. We had the spicy salsa and the flavor was very good. The wait staff was excellent.

Stopped while traveling through. Enchiladas and rellenos were delicious. Mexican rice was also very good (I’m picky/can be hard to please re the rice). Chips and salsa were ok.

Love Maverick’s food and friendliness. $1.25 Taco Tuesday is worth the drive, but I love their Carnitas! The owner is very cordial and will tell you the stories of how Maverick’s started if he isn’t busy.

Avoid this place at all costs! My entire family was sick after going here. Food gave us food poisoning.
The “large” queso is no bigger than the free salsa, the food was terrible (the queso on my burrito was cold and had a grainy texture to it, one of my kids chicken nugget meals had cold nuggets and fries, the rice and beans on my wife’s plate were cold, my wife asked for hot sauce and the brought out more salsa, out table was sticky the high chair was dirty and had old stuck food to it, the waiter was pushy and impatient before we even sat down he was asking if we knew what we wanted, the manager asked how everything was and I told him not great it went in one ear and out the other, needless to say we will not be returning) Literally could have gone to subway and had a much more enjoyable meal that didn’t cost $81 and that made us sick. Again watch out for this place.

Did Taco Tues (10)+ guacamole, Blanco queso & refried beans. Live two miles away and tacos were already soggy. Beans runny, LG Queso 8oz cup . Over-rated in my opinion. Queso and salsa was the best thing we got though.

Took my ma here for her birthday after reading all the good reviews. My mom and I ordered the mixed fajitas. Fajitas mix comes with 6 tortillas only. Any additional is 3 bucks which I wasn’t expecting. The chicken in the mix was bland. And the beef wasn’t steak steak .It was skirt steak and was marinated with tasted like maybe vinegar and Worcester sauce. It was very unappealing taste

I stopped in while visiting from Tulsa. Maverick’s is what I expected for a small town restaurant. The entree (enchiladas) was great and the queso was excellent. The chips are excellent quality, but I feel like they could use a little more flavor. But I would rather have to add salt than have them oversalted from the kitchen. The regular salsa wasn’t my favorite – it was more on the tomato flavor side – but wasn’t bad by any means. They did have spicy salsa, which went great with my meal! Service was fast and friendly and the temperature of the food was on point. Will definitely come back again.
