It was a gamble as my friend and I usually eat elsewhere in Litchfield but I prodded him to try it.
Instead of getting the steak I had been planning, I went with the buffet as it looked very well maintained and offered a variety of items.
I enjoyed it and the service was spot on. Clean atmosphere and it was a great dining experience.
I try to sample as many things as I can but the one item that makes or breaks it is the fried chicken – and let me tell you, it was excellent!!
Of course, I had a little of the other items, including a stuffed pepper, but the fried chicken was very good.
And the salad was satisfying, along with a number of cooked vegetables.
For a dining experience that won’t break the bank, is in a very well kept restaurant, with more than enough staff to address your needs, you won’t go wrong at this Maverick.

The worst tasting food I’ve ever had. I never throw away food ever. I wasted so much. Food was either too salty can’t even stand it. Or way too bland. The bread smelled like a beer to the point we couldn’t eat it for fear of getting drunk. Smelled like yeast overload. I never do reviews. Total waste of $30 and I threw up, never before have I done that, in my life. I’m a big girl with a love for food. I always way what I put on my plate. I do not recommend and will warn others.

We eat here often. It’s local. They’re open late for us night people and we love the owners/server. The girls are great. I just wish they didn’t cook their fried chicken in such hot grease! It’s always done. But the breading is so done you can’t enjoy it sadly

For the price it’s fine. For the experience and food ratings not at all. Food including salad was nasty. Cheese was hard. Shouldn’t of been. Croutons were wet. Cold stuffing no thank you.

Consistent value from buffet with hot and cold food and very friendly and attentive service from this locally owned steakhouse restaurant. Stacy greeted us with a smile and was terrific!
Enjoyed the sirloin tips with peppers and onions. The salad bar & buffet has a large selection of very good food. Plus, you can request a baked potato, hot rolls and Texas toast. There’s even ice cream and several choices for dessert.
Right next to the movie theater. I recommend a visit to Maverick the next time you are in Litchfield.

They saw snowflakes and stayed home. I drove 45 minutes through said snowflakes to get there. That wadted 90 minutes on the road marked my last visit to Maverick.
