This was our first time here and I am sad to say it will be our last. We read some reviews and were hoping for more, but we’re sadly disappointed. My wife ordered the brisket grilled cheese which was $14! See pic. Barely a half a cup of meat riddled with fat. I ordered the brisket bowl that was also short on meat and just warm not hot. Her meal she ordered a salad and mine cole slaw which we had to adk for as we were finishing our meal! We had to adk for our water from a different waitress before our meal. We were never checked on either. A 10oz sirloin on the menu was over $30! Seriously!

I cannot decide if I like this style of ribs or not. They’re smoked and not sauced. The smokiness and seasonings are SUPERIOR to any others I’ve ever had, but it has a bark on it that is a little tough making them a bit less tender than desired. Super delicious and very different than any others I’ve had, but that doesn’t make them bad! If they could maintain the smokiness and seasoning, with the tenderness of sauced ribs. These would be sensational! Still, absolutely delicious!
I Wish more people would give this place a try, great food with an area large enough to have a great time! Give a “local business” a shot and quit going to BDubz!

First time being here. Loved the whole experience. The food was delicious!! Got the pork chop; it was well seasoned, but not overly seasoned. The corn was delicious as well. The only thing that caught me off guard was the green beans had bacon bits in them. It was fine with me and quite delicious, but not sure it was indicated that it was this way on the menu.
Service was great overall. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, but not annoyingly over attentive.

First time eating here and just heard about it today. I got the pork burrito with frys and bake beans. Family owned. Very nice kind patient owners. The burrito is not for a small stomach and someone who doesn’t like or can’t handle spicy food. I was very impressed. Keep up the great jobs definitely deserve more then 5 stars.

Stopped in while traveling and we were not disappointed! The only downfall was the Mac and cheese was very bland. Everything else we tried was good and service was very friendly.
My familys recommendations include the Surf n Turf nachos (homemade tortilla chips and all fresh ingredients), the Brisket Grilled cheese and Cubano were great too!
We will definitely be stopping again during our next travels through Ohio.

I did not like the Cole slaw, nor the green bean, nor the rib tips, at all. Tea was good. BBQ sauce on the side, had a nice flavor. Actually went to another restaurant as soon as I left, because i was hungry. Paid full price, server stated, “well, at least you tried something new”. Will not return.

Food was okay? Mega overpriced it tasted generic/safe the banana pudding tasted like something I’d buy at the store my rib tips was mostly bone the brisket was okay the mac and cheese tasted bland needs more cheese otherwise it’s just slightly wet noodles the country gravy tho amazing I really dislike a lot of country gravy but i enjoy this places country gravy the country fried chicken bowl had 1/5th meat and the rest was filler? Idk I’ll stick to el mezcal for this price point I’m hoping for a different experience in a few months when I try this place again eventually

I’ll start out by saying the customer service was great, very friendly. It was also easy to get to. There is maybe 4 or 5 tables and they are old, it’s basically a take out. Now the food, for being BBQ the food had zero flavor. It’s like they are afraid to use seasoning or wood on the fire, there was zero smoke to anything. The brisket was however tender, but a little of chunks of fat which had no flavor and so much grease on the outside that I soaked 2 napkins wiping my hands. The beans were straight out of a can, mashed taters were too along with the Cole slaw. Not the worst place we’ve eaten but definitely down there when it comes to the food.

this was my first time dining here and I couldn’t have made a better choice. I had the pulled pork brisket served like an open face sandwich along with fries and slaw, very tasty and tender.. I can’t wait to go back and try some other menu items. Staff is unbelievably courteous and welcoming, very nice!! Mavericks….a great place to grab some Que!!!

Gem! Go! Absolutely so good, when finished, I wanted a re-do! My tummy said no but that’s how good the flavors of Mavericks Brisket & everything ordered was!!
Tamales, They are filled with smoked Brisket & pork rib. Lucky enough to have scooped up a dozen to enjoy!
I enjoyed walking into this small spot to be welcomed by EMTs, smiling faces, happy customer service for us newbies too. No fancy jaz here, just absolutely fantastic!
