This should be a 1 star but given I enjoy their pizza, I am going to go easier than I planned on and give a 3. Their calzone is the WORST calzone I have honestly ever eaten. I understand it’s the day after Thanksgiving but how is a calzone ice cold and burnt at the same time? Not to mention the marinara sauce is super watery and the chicken was the texture of croutons. Even though I haven’t eaten anything all day I still couldn’t force myself to finish it. This doesn’t classify as food and I should have listened to my instincts telling me there is a reason why they have a full lineup of them at lunch time because I can’t picture anyone else ordering these. There needs to be someone tasting the food before it’s put out there. This honestly something you would get at 7-eleven not an established pizzeria.
This is a follow up reply to the owner. If it’s not a calzone…. Pizza pocket? Chicken Parm Roll? It’s on the top row above the pizza. As far as location I am pretty sure it’s the right one considering I am walking distance from shoprite/dollar store/I hop/Carvel etc..

Are you guys okay? Like really, your pizza is great and your carbonara is good too but this meatball parm. Geeze it’s like the guy in the back gave up on life.
It’s the most depressing meatball ever. It’s incredibly bland, you don’t taste anything, no garlic, oregano, garlic, salt pepper nothing besides bland ground beef.
Even worst it’s incredibly soft, like the bad kind of soft. This meatball is so soft you could spread it on toast. Why is it this soft where is the binder, where is the breadcrumbs and eggs?
I’m not trying to be harsh but I am trying to get across to you what it tastes like. It tastes like the meat from a can of dog food.
You guys are a stellar pizzeria and one of my favorites. I just don’t want you guys to suffer in quality over a bad item. Please take a look at the way you guys are making your meatballs. It needs some TLC

So so good. I love that even the plain slice had so much flavor as well as seeming so fresh. Whatever went into making the dough, the cheese, the sauce you can tell it’s all really done with love. I also got a margarita slice which was incredible. This place is really special also a ton of different creative pies lots of options

Mauricio’s Pizza is very good. I especially like the large slices, which you don’t find in many places anymore. The garlic knots are also very good. I haven’t tried anything else here but I would without hesitation given the quality of the pizza and the garlic knots. Service is always prompt and the place seems pretty clean.

Maurizio’s Pizzeria is my favorite pizzeria in New Jersey. My partner and I go all the time, and we rave about it to anyone asking for the best pizza. We’ve tried many dishes, from pizza, pasta, and sandwiches, to panzarottis, strombolis, and desserts. Personal favorites of ours include the grandma with sausage slice and the tortellini and spinach slice. We’ve also tried the chicken vodka sandwich, a sausage and cheese panzarotti, tri-sauce slices, margarita slices, meat lovers stromboli, plus others, which were all delicious as well. The prices are reasonable, and the restaurant is always clean. They have lots of drink options. They have both a quick service counter seating area and a formal dining room. The service has been incredible every time we walk in. We really appreciate the staff. We’re happy to be regulars. If you’re looking for some amazing New Jersey pizza, look no further! They will not disappoint!
