Maui Shrimp Express is a locally owned food truck in Kihei, serving fresh Hawaiian shrimp plates fast. From garlic butter shrimp to spicy chili and coconut shrimp, every dish is cooked to order and full of aloha. We use locally sourced ingredients when available and serve classic Hawaiian plate lunches with rice, mac salad, and bold island flavor. Located across from Longs Drugs on Piikea Ave and also at 520 keolani pl in kahului across from costco and next door to Marriot we’re a favorite stop for both locals and visitors. Quick, delicious seafood with aloha.

This was our first meal of our Maui vacation. We stopped here for late lunch as soon as we got off the plane after twelve hours of travel. We ordered the Sweet Chili Mango plate (gluten free), the Honey Walnut Lemon Rosemary plate (gluten free), and the Ginger Pineapple Teriyaki Shrimp plate. The Sweet Chili Mango plate was my personal favorite, especially the rice that came with it. DELICIOUS!

Ordered a Cajun shrimp sandwich. Overall, it was a pretty good meal. The sandwich fillings (shrimp, cheese, cabbage, etc.) were super tasty and the potato wedges really filled you up. The bun felt a bit cheap.
Service was great. To whoever took our order, you were awesome!

SUPER SHRIMP
We meant to go to a different food truck down the road and ended up here with no regrets. Hub and I shared the large Thai shrimp and it was delicious. I’m our way home, we will try the garlic shrimp you peel.

Was a bummer ordered Shrimp Avocado Toast with extra shrimp. Received 5 shrimp with lettuce and grilled onions. When asking if this was the correct order they thew a few slices of avocado on it and said here you go. Now on the one ordered there was supposed to be no lettuce or grilled onions and 5 shrimp is double shrimp apparently so beware.

We stopped at the food truck park just outside of the airport and I went straight for the Maui Shrimp truck. I had the the Cajun shrimp with medium spiciness. It was absolutely delicious. I plan to eat there again on the day we fly out of Maui. Try it! You won’t be disappointed.

Maui shrimp has the freshest shrimps compared to its neighboring food trucks. If you want the freshest at a fair price, give these guys a try.
The garlic scampi comes with about 10 shrimps and rice. The shell and had ate already removed so the flavors have a harder time sticking to it but it is a lot easier to eat. These are the larger 40-10 shrimps that are used. The rice is hard and felt undercooked.
Overall a good try to compare both shrimp trucks are the flavors between them are different.

This was the first of several trucks we tried in the food truck park by OGG airport in Maui. Ordered the Honey Walnut Lemon Rosemary Shrimp plate. Definitely was fresh and made to order. Friendly staff, accurate descriptions, generous portions. Highly recommend this place.
