The food is delicious. I had their shrimp stuffed avocado and it was absolutely delicious. I loved their chips, as well. The atmosphere was cool, and the people who worked there seemed super nice, but there weren’t a ton of decorations that I recall. There needed to be something to set it apart. Overall, I thought it was awesome, though.

My girlfriend almost got run over in the parking lot by another patron. We found chicken bones and skin in the dish that was made wrong and charged for doubles instead of a single margarita on a happy hour all day last Monday. We waited about 30 minutes after the app was ordered until the waiter came back to order our entree. Probably spent 2 hours for the worst dining experience ever. Still haven’t heard back from management.

Just had a refreshing meal at Maudie’s! The powerhouse lite salad was just what I was craving. Made to perfection with Jalepeno ranch dresssing on the side. Also enjoyed the trio of dips. Terrific! When I’m back in Austin, will definitely return! Thank you!

The food was pretty good and they have a few quality veggie items on their menu. It is an alright location for vegans. The food was pretty tasty for the most part but the guac is a bit bland.
The patio is nice and for being on south lamar is is not overly distracting.
The service was quick and friendly.

A little loud inside at lunch rush, but nice on the patio. The shrimp tacos are so yum and the salsa doesn’t ever leave me disapponted. Waiters always are helpful and quick.

I’ve been coming to this lovely LOCAL establishment for over 15 years. Consistent service, hospitality, food quality, and incredible staff across the board. Mike Quintanilla is incredible team member and one of the many reasons my family/friends & I love coming here. He is attentive, professional, warm gentleman, and a master at his craft! We look forward to coming here weekly. Thank you Maudie’s for staffing such incredible people.

Been going to Maudies for the last 20+ years. Used to go to Lake Austin Blvd but lately the S Lamar location. I read the negative review regarding Mike the bartender. Do not understand it. Mike is one of my favorite bartenders in town. He remembers what I previously ordered and has it ready to go. Great conversations with him and great service. In fact, I peek in the door sometimes and if Mike isn’t working, I go elsewhere. If you are looking for the old Austin vibe, this is the place for great food and service.

I got the beef fajitas for one. The beef tasted like worcesterchire sauce. More onions and peppers than meat. The hibiscus tea was good. The salsa is very mild and bland, I like it spicy. $17.50 kind of expensive for the small portion of meat. I thought the queso was too expensive so I didn’t get it. Waiter was decent brought me extra salsa and a refill.

Flies. Flies everywhere. I understand this is a common problem with restaurants that have both indoor and outdoor dining. However, a lot more could be done in terms of pest control. My dining experience was horrible just because I spent most of it fending off flies.
Chips and salsa were fine. No draft beer. Bottled beer was not even a little bit cold. I got the chicken burritos with rice and beans. The burritos were very bland. The rice and beans had no taste at all.
My waitress (I believe her name was Sarah) was very nice. That’s about the only positive thing I can say about my experience.
