1. Everyone there is so incredibly nice.
2. The food is amazing.

There NO words to adequately describe to you how much I LOVE this restaurant !!
I like to get their **veggie burrito** no cheese, for a vegan option.
1 more TIP: If you’re looking for the mildest sauce they have (or the least spiciest), ask for their tomatado sauce. THAT sauce is their yummiest mildest sauce……….your welcome !!

Quiet environment, fast simple service. Great chip and fresh home made salsa. Migas was great, hot and fast. I ordered the sausage migas, with queso on top and it was delicious

I got the three beef fajitas and it came with beans. I disliked the fajitas and the beef wasn’t what I thought it was going to taste like and the beef was chewy. The beans were also nasty and I did not like their tres leches cake as well. I was just disappointed with the taste of the food. It just didn’t meet my expectations. The salsa and chips were really good and the service was great. But for the price of the food, it could have been better.

Stopped by Maudie’s North Lamar for brunch and I was totally impressed. The Migas taco with organic eggs, tomato, onions, serranos, and tortilla strips was a flavor bomb, and the Marfa Stack (stacked red-chile cheese enchiladas with eggs on top) was comfort food done right. I also enjoyed starting with their Appetizer Trio — queso, guacamole, and spicy bean dip — which was perfect for sharing.
What really made the visit stand out was how warm and down-to-earth the staff were. They guided me through so many menu options without making me feel rushed, and the laid-back Tex-Mex diner vibe made it easy to relax and savor the meal. I’ll definitely be back to try their enchiladas and desserts next time!

We ordered beef enchiladas with beans and rice and a side of guacamole and chips. This was our first time trying this place. Neither me or my husband enjoyed our food! We didn’t like the way it tasted. The beans and rice portions were very small, and the chips that came with the guacamole were stale and tossed in the trash. The portion size of the guacamole was small as well. Especially for the price we paid. I ate one enchilada and put the others which I didn’t finish in the trash. The food actually looked good, but the taste was less than desirable! It is very doubtful that we will return!

We had a party of 6 and called ahead about an hour before to make a reservation. When we arrived, a table was waiting on us even though they were busy. Our food was delivered in a timely manner and refills were constant. Loved the food and our waitress.

Great food, but I have lost track of the number of times that I have returned home from picking up my to go order to find that I’m missing things from my order or received the wrong items. The last time this happened I mentioned to the manager that this happens a lot. He offered a free order of queso to make up for it.
It just happened again today and after returning home with my cold food that I made two trips for, I think I have decided to stop going to this location. I have been a big fan of Maudie’s for years, but no amount of queso can make up for a problem that happens over and over again.
