DELICIOUS!! Such a great restaurant. The chef is amazing and so is the food! Service was friendly and polite. The Mango Sticky Rice dessert is a perfect way to end your experience! You get treated like family and the food quality is PHENOMENAL! The Spicy Curry Rice is so tasty. The Pad Thai is good and the Lad Na noodle is my FAVORITE!

I love this place. The fish is always fresh, and it is reasonably priced (I only ever get the sushi). The owner is really nice and always makes sure to say hi when you walk in. The only downside is that they do tend to put mayo on everything, but I’m sure you can ask them for no mayo. I set up an alert on my phone to remind me of that when I get near the restaurant. Otherwise, this is definitely the best quality sushi around.

We are in town after our car accident. As Thai, we were searching for the authentic flavor thai food to fulfill our craving. We chose this one and desired to try. We did not expect that the favor would meet our expectation. Surprisingly, we felt like we were sitting and having the dinner at one of an aunt’s house. Food was authentic. We asked for flavorful Lab with no spicy for our 19 months twins and it was great. Thai fried rice was cooked like Thai style tasted like home (As authentic as you can get.) papaya salad was amazing and went well with the chicken wings. Lilly was so friendly with the good service mind. I like that the restaurant is big, kid friendly, and clean washroom. Over all was great. Sorry that we did not have any pictures in this review. We were so hungry and happy. No time for pictures!

I will definitely be back. I loved everything I got here. I sat up at the sushi bar section, and really enjoyed watching the chef cook. He was funny and personable, and offered suggestions on what to order. Everything he made was delicious, including a special spicy sauce he gave us to eat on the side. I ordered a bento box, which had sushi appetizers (I believe a California roll and spicy tuna, but I could be wrong), and ordered a seafood stir fry. Everything was great and there are so many other things I want to try.

My husband and I ate here for the 1st and only time approximately 6 years ago. The food was delicious and hot. The staff was very friendly. They had an amazing sauce to go with the egg roll that I had never had before and still have not had again. I will definitely eat here in the future

This is the best Sushi in the area, no question. The restaurant staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. Robert is the owner and personally prepares the rolls. (They have over 100) They also have a large menu of other items if you are not a sushi fan. You will be happy you tried this place!

Some of the negative reviewers before me sound like they are probably from local competitors, or they don’t understand how to write a review. Don’t worry about them, check out Matuba for yourself. Myself, and everyone I’ve ever talked to that has been there has loved it.

Sadly our experience was extremely disappointing. We were frequent visitors of Matuba when owned by Robert, but our first visit since his departure, may very well be our last. There were only 2 other parties of 2 in the restaurant when we arrived. It took 20 minutes to take our order and over an hour to receive our food. No one came out to even check on us during that time. No refills- nothing! We finally put our jackets on and put money on the table to cover the drinks, when out behind the curtain came our food. The couple next to us, was very eager to leave, but no one around to bring their check. We saw 2 other parties come in and leave due to no service, and the guy preparing the sushi did not attempt to engage with either of them as they left. The frustrating part was that we saw 3 take out orders leave during the time between when we ordered our food and received it. Our appetizer came out 10 minutes after our food. There needs to be some serious changes in customer service, because word of mouth will be the death of this establishment.
