My wife and I wanted a hamburger we was driving back to Boise when we seen it. 2/16/26, Downside double check the bill before paying they charge $17 for double patty and we ordered single patty $15 and charge 3% for credit card.
Plus the burgers needed tomato and pickles.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Holy smokes. First of all, inside is wonderful. Spacious with all the coolest sports memorabilia and TVs your eyes can see! Our server was sweet as can be and we met Matt, the owner, who was awesome!! Such a welcoming place. We started with fried pickles. They are spears and not the little slices, hot and super crunchy. I could have eaten 50 of them. My husband had the Field Of Dreams burger, and he took one bite, looked up at me and said “it’s perfect.” Perfect amount of spice/heat balanced with the burger. I had the Big Bears lobsta sammich, which I’ve been dreaming of all week, and it exceeded expectations. SO thrilled this place is here and we are already planning our next visit. Thank you Matty G’s for a perfect meal!

Great food. Loved the burgers and lobster rolls. Also great milkshakes! I will say beware; they charge 3% for credit cards. On their menu it says credit cards but they also charge for Debit cards. They put the charge on BEFORE you pay. Several of our party payed with cash and had to ask to have it removed

Everything was really good! We split the Hail Mary and it was a delicious burger! Everything was cooked and prepped to perfection.
My sister‘s split the burger with a fried egg on it, and the egg looked perfectly cooked as well, the servers were super nice and checked on us a ton to make sure we were taken care of.
The garlic fries, sweet potato fries, seasoned fries, onion rings were all delicious! My nephew got corn dogs, and they were really good too. All these were bomb.com !
It wasn’t super busy when we got there and more people came in as we ate, but I definitely didn’t feel too crowded or loud.

Went there with my wife for lunch. The burger and fries were absolutely fantastic. Great flavors all around and plenty of garlic on the garlic fries! It’s a little spend, but you know that going in! The only thing that could make it better is if they cooked with beef tallow instead of seed oils. All around a great experience and we’ll go back!

Four of us had late lunch there today. We each had different burgers. Two had fries, one had sweet potato fries and one had dipper fries. We all thought the burgers were absolutely top notch. Service was prompt and friendly. Good beer selection. Found out the “Lobsta’Roll” does not have real lobster. It’s a place that we will enjoy again.

Read some good things about Matty G’s in the Boise subreddit, so I figured I better try their new location on Eagle Road! Did not disappoint. I had the All-Star Burger and fries and it was amazing. My wife had the Chivas tacos and she loved them as well. We will definitely come back!

1st. I had the Crime dog, probably one of the best Hot dogs I have had in a long time.
My Dad’s burger was “dry and flavorless”.
The fries are definitely from a frozen bag.
We got garlic fries and both agreed, NO GARLIC WAS USED.
The booths are very uncomfortable with no padding but the over all atmosphere is pretty cool.
Last, not worth the price. To be blunt $18 plus tax for 1 hot dog and less than average fries with no drink is a hate crime!

I’ve never been so disappointed to leave a review for a place I was genuinely excited to try. I had heard about Matty G’s in Eagle since they opened and was really looking forward to checking it out.

When we walked in, we were told it was seat-yourself and to grab our own menus—no problem. We sat down, but then waited… and waited… and waited. It took 15 minutes before anyone came by to check in with us. Finally, we placed our order: fried pickles, a burger, carne asada fries, some extra sauce, and just waters.

It took another six minutes or so just to get water. And while I’ll admit I’m a bit of a water snob, this was hands-down the worst water I’ve ever had—completely undrinkable. There were maybe 20 people in the restaurant and it wasn’t busy at all, so the wait time didn’t make much sense.

We waited for our appetizer, only to see the table next to us—who came in after we did—receive theirs first. After 20 minutes, our appetizer finally arrived… at the same time as our entrees. Personally, when I order an appetizer, I expect it to come out before the main course.

We had asked for extra sauce, but it didn’t come. Understandable, that happens. We asked again, and were told it’d be brought right over. We also requested extra BBQ sauce for the burger, since the initial amount looked like a small squirt that covered only half the bun. Then we sat there and watched the servers stand around and chat while the sauces never arrived. Eventually, we had to flag down a different server—one who helped bring out our food but wasn’t even assigned to our table—just to ask again for the sauces. She ended up relaying the message to our actual server, and finally we got what we needed so we could start eating.

My boyfriend said the burger was actually good, and the fried pickles were solid. But I had the carne asada fries, and they looked like a toddler assembled them. The menu says you can choose either nacho cheese sauce or shredded cheese. Since I’m gluten-sensitive (not celiac), I opted for shredded cheese and asked for no pico. What I got was fries with a random squirt of sour cream in one corner, no visible shredded cheese at all, and a sad overall presentation.

I would also like to mention that the bartender? bar manager? had her back to the restaurant, I would say the whole time we were there, just fiddling with the TVs. I get that the Masters were on earlier & it looked like they were trying to put UFC on the TV but maybe manage the restaurant or look around to see if everything is running well?

I didn’t finish my food & the boyfriend only ate the burger since the fries were cold by the time the extra sauce came.

I really wanted to love this place, but the poor service, the long waits, and the disappointing food presentation made it really hard to enjoy. Here’s to hoping they tighten things up, because the potential is there—but our experience definitely missed the mark.

Where to begin, lets start with the fact that when we pulled up to the place it was 6:50pm and by the time we got our food it was 7:49pm almost a full hour later. We didn’t even order that much food, we ordered street tacos 1 burger and basket of fries. It does not take almost a full hour to make that. Also we watched people walk in after we sat down get their orders taken, be served their food and leave while we hadn’t even seen our waitress for a second time. We saw our waitress only a total of 2 times not counting when I personally requested the check. When we finally recieved our food, my spouse’s burger was cold around the edges, my carné asada tacos had maybe 3 tiny pieces of meat in each taco. It was basically a lettuce taco and when I say tiny pieces of meat, I mean it was the same size of a piece of hamburger meat when you brown up hamburger meat at home. All in all was disappointed and to top it off it was 50$ with a suggested 12$ tip. I tipped 5$ due to that long inexcusable wait time. We had plans we were supposed to be at by 8 and were already late, so I just wanted to leave at that point.
