Why you should visit: from the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me in a friendly, welcoming manner. A small restaurant, comfortable feel, and you can smell the aromas of breakfast food coming from the kitchen.
I ordered the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits, 2 eggs over easy, country style potatoes and a coffee. Excellent meal. On the table they had their own Hot Sauce (very good), and I splashed it on my potatoes and eggs; Awesome!! The service was excellent, clean restaurant, very nice background music and well-lit. My overall experience was very pleasing. I’m be back.I highly recommend Matt’s Big Breakfast.

I visited on Saturday with my little group (2 humans + 2 pups) and we sat out on the patio — such a nice, relaxed vibe! The food was amazing. I had the special veggie scramble with hash browns, and we also tried the breakfast sandwich, a pancake, and bacon. You can really taste the difference in the ingredients — everything was so fresh and flavorful.
The coffee was great too (which is always a must for me), and the service was absolutely top tier — friendly, attentive, and welcoming, even with our pups. Overall, a 10/10 breakfast spot. We’ll definitely be back! ☕️

Our experience here was fantastic. The food was delicious and beat out any expectation I had. I have been to endless breakfast places throughout my life and this is definitely in the top 10%. The service was solid and I would definitely return if I’m in the area.

Food tasted fine but pretty small portions for how much it costs. I got the corned beef hash special and there was hardly any corned beef hash in the meal. Not enough staff, the wait was extremely long for how busy they were. Once you get your food you won’t see a waitress again. The only reason we got a table quick is because it’s seat yourself everything else was extremely slow.

Fresh squeezed orange juice with real hashbrowns and thick sliced bacon. The toast had strawberries to spread on it and seemed like homemade bread, too. We enjoyed it, and friendly, attentive servers also made it a memorable breakfast. We had the biscuit and gravy special today. Excellent too! Very tasty

Visiting in Sept and had the best breakfast of our life at Big Matt’s in Gilbert.
Came in 2 days in a row, got wonderful service, my boyfriend had the waffle and couldn’t stop talking about it for days

I got the chorizo and eggs, as well as 2 glasses of orange juice. Although the orange juice is really good, it is $6 a glass, so do be mindful of that. The service is really quick and the food comes out very quick, especially for being made to order.
The chorizo itself had a lot of jalapeños in it, which was tolerable, although I would probably order it without if I came here again.
The seating was a bit crowded but once you are seated it feels fine, you’re not bumping into other people nor squished for space.
Overall, it was a nice restaurant.

Amazing waffle bacon breakfast. So fluffy and flavorful. Try their cold brew coffee with a little cream and maple syrup. You’ll be drinking coffee on another level.

Food is good. But…. the Service is terrible. The waitress takes your order, finally brings your food after letting it sit on the stainless warmer for 15 min…and then you NEVER see her again. NO one at any table… was given or even offered a drink refill until they were either leaving or finished. . No bus boy to clean the tables. So.. the cook and waitress had to do it. The waitress was NICE… but she needs to pull her long hair back, or wear hairnet and stop touching her hair!. Hair and food don’t mix. She is unfortunately slow. The other older lady cooking… needs a hairnet also. The other cook wore a hoodie the whole time. Not sure how the Health inspection would feel about this. Unfortunately because of price, smaller portions and terrible service..we won’t be going back.
