I feel morally obligated to write this review because some of you cranky 1-star goblins have clearly forgotten how joy works.
First: the bartenders. Every single one of them is suspiciously good-looking and equipped with dangerous levels of charm.
Second: the drinks. I’m convinced the bartenders here are part chemist, part artist, and possibly operating under ancient whiskey knowledge passed down through a secret society. Every cocktail arrives with unexpected generosity. Somewhere between the first sip and the second, I briefly understand the meaning of life. (Even if just for the night.)
Third: the community. Without this place my evenings would consist of reheated leftovers and staring into the void. Instead I come here and suddenly there are conversations, laughter, and utter buffoonery.
Five enthusiastic stars. And a special shout out to the chili-dog man out back on the patio.

What a fun and great find in Matthews NC !! Such a chill hanging out aesthetic with lots going on here !! Inside lovely lighting and places to sit and ‘be’ and hang out. Loads more seating outside and to the back with live music and another area inside and out for the same. We will definitely be back soon !!

We ordered a singular drink and just played Uno majority of the night and was denied alcohol with an hour left of closing and was the only couple asked to leave. We didn’t create a scene, disrupt anyone’s night and kept it to ourselves the whole night. Check the security footage. We did nothing wrong and were told we needed to leave. Never will return ever again. Didn’t want to create a scene or argument so we left without issue.

Was pretty excited that matthews finally added a cocktail lounge to the scene! My wife and I went in on a slow night and were not greeted or told to have a seat. I had to ask if we had to wait to be seated or just take a seat.
We ordered drinks and were pretty disappointed for the quality of drinks for the prices. I’m an old fashioned fan and mine came out quick and very watered down. My wife’s drink was also very low quality. For the prices, the service and drinks should match. Hoping things can turn around as Matthews needs a cocktail scene!

This once brewery has been updated from the previous owner to a more upscale cocktail bar feel with offerings of beer, wine and spirits. Comfortable atmosphere in the heart of Matthews historic district where you can people watch and enjoy the Matthews community vibe. It has its sister pub next door that has a more traditional Irish pub feel. Your open tab will be honored at both spots so you can try both out throughout your visit.

I did not have any food so I can’t speak on that, but everything else was amazing. this is such a a cool place. we were in town visiting friends and our friends brought us to the social house. we had drinks and the kids had ice cream. everyone had fun playing games and enjoying each other’s company while hanging outside. I can’t believe this place packed. It is such a a cool concept. I highly recommend going.

A nice chill spot. My first time visiting. There was live entertainment outdoors. Lots of seating and the fire pits were going. I only had a drink. I’ll definitely be back to try the food.

Isn’t my go-to spot. I’ve been a few times and didn’t love it. Tried out drinks in both areas. Cocktails weren’t very good, and I didn’t like the selection of drinks otherwise. It’s a nice area for gathering otherwise.
