This is NOT Southern food. My true Southern Grandma would be ashamed to serve this food. Tasteless. The food lacked literal taste. Including the chocolate cream pie. Dry chicken. Never known a “casserole” to lack creamy goodness. Overpriced. $45 lunch for two *including tip.. $7.25 for one small chicken fried steak with gravy. $2.50 per side. $1.30 per small roll. $4 small dessert. No priced menu found anywhere. Everything a la cart (and over priced). $3.25 per drink (over filled with ice). First and last visit. I can do better in my own kitchen.

Good food! We really enjoyed the fried chicken. The atmosphere was clean and the staff was friendly. We will be back.

Fantastic southern cooking with some of the best banana pudding I’ve had. The drive through was packed on a Sunday at 11:00 AM, but it was worth it. Just allow extra time to get through, come at another time, or walk.

It’s OK. If this was the only restaurant in town and I didn’t feel like cooking, I would get a plate. The food lacked flavor. It’s southern, but no soul. Boiled cabbage, boiled Limassol, boiled turnips: all bland. No high blood pressure here. Didn’t taste any salt or smoke. Creamed cream tasted right out of the can. The custard pie was good. The fried chicken is sold by the piece. I first asked for two wings … now, you can keep those pigeons. Two drumsticks: one was freshly cooked, the other looked dried up, dark, and old. Again no flavor. Sorry, no repeat for me.

My family and I have been frequenting this little gem for at least 25 years. For good southern cuisine and a “down home” feel, this place can’t be beat. They have really spruced things up over the past few years, making the dining experience even better. The food is always on point, and the staff has become consistently more and more friendly. I am so glad we have them!

One of the few cafeterias out there. Lots of seating area, good selection of foods, and unique atmosphere.

Disappointed. For $35, my friend and I got 1 chicken breast and 1 pork chop. A few sides each, and 2 teas. Chicken and pork chop were really dry and room temp, along with the biscuits and muffins. New (since last visit) dishwashing station in the dining room was not closed off and really noisy. New owner should be more focused on serving quality food to customers instead of paying Food Network and Fox 5 for unnecessary publicity (it’s always been busy).

Although the portion sizes were good, most of our food was lukewarm at best. There were three of us with different items and we each had the same issue. So disappointing
