I order here fairly often it is the best place for BBQ in Crestview. My favorite is the Smoked Sausage it is homemade and very delicious. The Pulled Pork Sandwich is juicy and tender with there homemade BBQ sauce their really isn’t much better. They even have Fried Green Tomatoes. Fish and Shrimp are available for people who don’t want BBQ.

This was the best BBQ I’ve ever had!! My husband and I enjoyed plates of their ribs, and smoked sausage. They were phenomenal! Even the green beans blew our minds! The staff was very friendly and gave us free samples as well. I highly recommend this food truck!

Hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten. The pulled pork is to die for—so tender it melts in your mouth. The jerk ribs were absolutely out of this world with incredible flavor and just the right kick. If you’re even thinking about trying this place, do it. You won’t regret it.

I ordered a pound of pulled pork, half rack of ribs, pound of the jerk chicken and loaded fries. The fries were (in my opinion) the best thing. They do give you BBQ sauce. They offer spicy and non spicy! The jerk chicken was full of seasoning and the pulled pork was very plain and only had smoke flavor. They do not cook in the BBQ in it so very very plain in my opinion. The man who took our order was very accommodating. Easy to find. Very organized

While visiting Navarre in FL, I searched non-commercial food places for us to try out. I was called to Matthew’s. Even though this was an hour drive away for a food truck, the previous reviews made me believe this was going to be worth it, and I’m glad we made the trip. We arrived at a perfect time, when we had an opportunity to hear the family’s story and many blessings over the years. As first-timers and upon arrival, we were offered prideful, free samples of the meats available on the menu today (spare ribs, pulled pork, jerk chicken, smoked sausage and generous smidge of Mom’s BBQ sauce… which they are looking to patent and should). While each sample tasted more amazing than the last, we landed on the jerk chicken and pulled pork (not pictured, since wrapped in aluminum foil under the chicken) for our 2-meat combos which included two sides each ($16/combo). The food was plentiful and legit the best BBQ meat we also have ever had, just as the others have said. The flavor was out of this world, and if we lived here, we would try to visit as often as we could. We chose sides of the cole slaw, baked beans, potato salad and fried okra. Out of those 4 selections, the beans and okra matched the high level of the meat. The others were good, but paled in comparison (which probably isn’t fair). When people say this is the best BBQ they’ve had in their life, they’re NOT lying. When they say the Owner is exceptional, that’s an understatement. Please consider gifting yourself the pleasure of visiting Matthew’s. You won’t regret it.

Just not the same food as it was when Shorty was the pitmaster. Pulled Pork taste like it was baked in the oven not grilled on the pit. Ribs are the same. Doesn’t taste like BBQ tastes like oven food. BBQ Beans are just a can of pork and beans. Potatoe salad is bland. Really miss Shorty.

He was so confident in his food that for those who are there for the first time will get free samples. Let me say, it was some of the greatest BBQ I have ever had.

Hands down the best bbq I’ve had in a long time! I’ve traveled all around the US, and this little red truck can compete with Memphis BBQ!! Smoked sausages were always my favorite and these ones are to die for! Pulled pork is extremely juicy and tender! And can we talk about okra?! I was never really a fan but I can eat a whole large portion of these! From breading to saltiness, just right. Also, the potato salad is very filling and refreshing!
These guys know what they’re doing! Good job!

It’s worth the drive. We found them while out of town when we were hit with an urge for BBQ. Googled for “near me” directions. The food truck is parked behind a church in a sandy lot with a couple of other trucks. Parking is easy. Walk up (you will have to step over tree roots) to order. If they’re out at the smoker you might get some free tasty samples. Best smoked sausage I’ve had in a long time. Baked beans, green beans, fried okra – chef’s kiss. You’ll have to wait a few minutes for the order to be up so go sit in your car with the ac on. There are a few picnic tables. Not much shade. There is not much “atmosphere,” but we were there – and have been back (when we can swing through Crestview on our way to somewhere else) – and WILL be back. We took ours to-go. Highly recommend.
