Oh my gosh…. This place is a dream! Tucked away in a charming old building in the heart of Historic Olmsted Falls! Love this area, it’s so adorable.
The food is absolutely legendary! I’ve been here twice in one week! Once for dinner, then today for Sunday brunch. Their crab cakes, are the stuff of legends, seriously! Out of this world. The Caesar salad had excellent flavor. My entree at dinner was beef medallions with truffle oil, risotto and broccolini. It was outstanding! My martinis were perfection.
Brunch was a whole ‘nother experience. I had chicken and waffles… I cannot express how phenomenal the flavor profile as well as the texture was with this dish. Chicken AND THE WAFFLE, were flawlessly crunchy/crisp then the waffle was perfectly soft inside. The flavor on the breading and syrup was deliciously salty/sweet with a tiny bit of heat! Perfect!!
Apologies for the poor quality on the photos… I forgot to take pictures until we had already begun eating. My friend had the crabcake Benedict and it was amazing. PLEASE NOTE~ they only do brunch one day per month!

Wonderful Valentines dinner at Mataeo’s. Service was so friendly and the food was delicious. I had the Chicken Mataeo, and my husband had the Shrimp Scampi. Love, love, love the sauce on the Chicken Mataeo and my husband was very happy with the Shrimp Scampi. Totally different and welcoming atmosphere under the new ownership, like visiting your Italian aunt’s kitchen. Always enjoyed the food but the prior ownership was cold and off-putting. We look forward to going back more frequently now.

The restaurant is situated in a historic area of Olmsted Falls, great place to walk around outside after dinner especially in the warmer months. Reservations are recommended (very easy to do) as the dining area is not very big. Food was delicious & plentiful and at a decent price. Service was very accommodating. Great place to dine as a couple or with friends.

Made a reservation for 6, but ended up having 7 and they were very accommodating even on a busy Friday night. I shared a bottle of wine and for $34 (that price is unheard of it), it was amazing. The bread for the table was warm and soft. I got one of the specials and it was so delicious. The servings are all really big, which leftovers Italian is always yummy. All the entrees come with salad or soup too! Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Jamey is a great waitress. She is attentive, keeps an eye on her customers and will make suggestions as to menu options. The food is tasty and the portions plentiful.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy. The music is not overwhelming or too loud. You can definitely carry on a conversation.

Exceptional food and service in the cutest location! Our server, Kelly, is the best! We always ask for her, as she is the friendliest and most accommodating to anything we need. My favorite dish is the arancini, but I love everything on the menu!

Came here for our anniversary and waited 15 to be acknowledged after the host. 40 minutes after we received food that was very bland. Never checked how we were and had to ask for everything we received, like the boxes and check. Didn’t ID also which shocked me seeing as we’re a young couple. Overall we’re just disappointed with this experience.

First time visiting this restaurant and will be back. We didn’t have reservations and there was a short wait which is understandable. The food was worth the prices and definitely made with talent. Highly recommend the crab stuffed mushrooms and lobster ravioli. I haven’t had better lobster ravioli. The service could have been better but it did seem busy.

Took my girlfriend to Matteo’s for Valentine’s Day after we found out our normal spot was closed. Took a chance and had one of the best experiences at a restaurant by far. The drinks were amazing, we ordered breaded mozzarella that was to die for, and our entrees were delicious with a good portion of food. I probably ate too much of my Sicilian pasta only because I didn’t want to take it home and warm it up, losing out on how good it was fresh. Will definitely be back again and telling all of our friends about this restaurant.
