What a tasty breakfast sandwich! The menu is simple but the flavors are phenomenal. We liked the garlic biscuit with pepperjack but the blueberry and sausage we loved. And Matt is definitely a character and fun to chat with. Get there early!

Had a chance to get breakfast here on a trip to Knoxville. The time and attention that goes into the food here is evident from the moment you walk in the door. Matt has it down to a science, and the results are amazing. Got a blueberry biscuit with sausage egg and cheese and a garlic and cheddar biscuit with bacon egg and pepper jack. The preparation includes a few minutes back in the oven to give some crispiness on the bottom of the biscuit and nicely melted cheese. Really exceptional! On top of that, Matt is a super friendly guy and provides excellent service. Came back on our second day in town to run it back. The line is worth the wait to get something really fantastic. Will be going here every time I’m in Knoxville!

I hate biscuits!
That should tell you how good this place is!
They run out of ingredients quickly, so we only had the egg and cheese biscuits.
They were incredible!
Imagine having their sausage or bacon or whatever else they have.
The biscuits are made from scratch and you can immediately taste the difference!
Go early! Taste excellence!

(Sorry the pictures are of half-eaten egg biscuits, they’re too good)

This is the breakfast biscuit I’m still thinking about, days later. Matt’s hit the spot. Excellent service, glad I got there before it sold out. I’ll be back.

Only go if you have all day. First off- the biscuits are fine. It’s a biscuit, it won’t change your life. My real issue is the process.

Walked up to grab a biscuit sandwich before I took off for the airport. I was taking it to go so the 30 minutes I had to get it was plenty of time- or so I thought. I walk up and the line is out the door. Not an issue, like I said I have plenty of time, and it’s a small space so the line’s not as bad as it looks. But it takes FOREVER. I finally get to place my order and you can tell Matt cares about his biscuits. He takes great care assembling and making them perfectly. He then places my biscuit on the baking sheet. Great! I’ll get my biscuit in a couple minutes and be on my way. Nope, Matt proceeds to help the next four people in line the same way. Perfectly assembling his biscuits, no urgency, no rush, then placing them on the same baking sheet. I had to stand there for another 10-15 minutes until the baking sheet is full! I may as well have been waiting in the line with the people 5 spots behind me because all our food was cooked together. Then I had to wait another 5 or so minutes for it to cook before he took them out of the oven, wapped mine and gave it to me. All totalled it took around 50 minutes to get a perfectly acceptable biscuit sandwich- and now I was late for my flight. So what started as a relaxed last morning in town turned into a stressful pain thanks to Matt and his biscuits.

Long story short, biscuits are good but not worth the time. 50 minutes for food at a counter service restaurant is simply unacceptable.

Best biscuits in the whole world period.
Matt pays so much attention to the food he prepares. The ingredients are top notch.
I visit knoxville twice or three times a year and I make sure I go to Matts.
Last Christmas they were closed and I was soooo disappointed but looking forward for my next trip.
PS. Blueberries biscuits is amazing. Also Jalapeño Cheddar egg and Bacon or Sussage is my favorite

Had an excellent garlic and cheddar biscuit from here. Get here closer around opening to ensure you’ll get a biscuit before they sell out! Matt is very personable and welcoming to all who come by. He has his flow down, don’t expect to get your food within a few seconds, but have great conversation in the meantime and enjoy the process.

Passing through Knoxville and my girlfriend and I looked around for a breakfast spot to treat ourselves. Biscuits sounded great so we wandered in to Matt Robb’s spot, and boy were we blown away. One man show, meticulously interacting with customers, prepping biscuits, pouring coffee, and slinging biscuits out to the eager patrons.

Keep in mind, this place can sell out of biscuit stock. He opens around 9, and we got there around 10 and got the last two biscuits out of the oven miraculously. If you plan to go, get there early and block out a little time for his process, it is well worth the wait.

Matt took the time to get to know us, gave us some recommendations on other places to eat and drink in Knoxville, and was a delight to interact with. 10/10 would recommend.

We parked in the Church paid parking lot behind the Courthouse. Gotta get creative

Quaint unassuming little place. First chance to be in town and stop in. First off the food (biscuit in particular) was amazing. Order a sausage egg and pepperjack cheese biscuit. Definitely a 5 star! There are only 5 stools in a window overlooking downtown so plan accordingly. Worth the trip.
