A great underrated spot! I was craving gyudon like how Matsuya and Sukiya make it and this was perfect. I had the ontama beef bowl and the kakiage on the side and both were delicious. I will definitely be coming back and ordering online!

Oh how lucky I am to have stumbled across a place like this. No clue why it’s not more popular. The inside is kinda small with only one table and 4 chairs so, the atmosphere rating is a bit low but that does not take away from the absolutely delicious food. Ate lunch with my grandparents, spent about $15 per person. The guy working the counter was nice and super patient with us. The food came out in under 5 minutes, super flavorful, and the gyoza was nice and crispy. Will definitely be coming back here again! 5/5 stars!

My family is grateful that they are here in Ewa Beach! My kids grow up eating Japanese curry, takoyaki and beef bowl. When we moved here in Hawaii from Japan, we’ve been to a lot of Japanese restaurant for the curry and takoyaki but we never find anything that tasted like Japan until today!!!!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for the longest and I’m so glad I did! I got their beef curry udon with the side of sukiyaki sauce and when I tell you I ate the beef and udon with only the sukiyaki sauce it was SO GOOD! I saved the curry brother for lunch and added rice. 100/10 should have tried this way sooner!

I don’t understand the low review scores. People think this is Japan level quality but this is gyu-don. This is Japanese comfort food. Get the egg topping with pretty much any gyu-don bowl. Katsu curry is legit too. Even got tai-yaki. Don’t believe the reviews, go get some good quality Japanese food with ono rice that don’t feel like bird seed or cheap rice mix like most “local” places now. How this place has a lower score than L&L’s is proof most don’t know good food. Great food at a great price and they give discounts and portion size which even the small is enough for most. They have a point card too. Only downside is no place to eat, take-out only

This is one of my favorite, go-to places for takeout! The food is amazing: good portion sizes, reasonable prices, and delicious flavor. Service is quick, I never have to wait very long at all. All the staff I have encountered are friendly, especially Tomo! She is such a warm and kind person, I truly enjoy chatting with her every time I go! I highly recommend Matsuzaka-Tei!

I tried the regular-sized Takoyaki Beef Bowl with a complimentary small container of daikon (free with any beef bowl purchase). The chef was quick, as my order was ready in just about 7 minutes. I loved the teriyaki sauce and kewpie mayo as additional condiments available on the side for customization. Note: This spot is takeout only, as there’s no dining area.

This has to be the worst udon place I’ve ever been to. We ordered the beef udon and large chicken katsu rice bowl and were thoroughly disappointed. The portions were tiny similar to kids sized. The udon noodle soup looked and tasted like the cheap instant udon soup packages that you buy at the store. The noodles itself looked like American chicken noodle soup, the ones in the can. It was not the authentic udon noodles that are round and long. The “large” sized katsu had maybe 5-6 pieces on a bed of a lot of rice. No sauce and very bare. The total came out to $50 and some change. This did not taste like authentic Japanese food at all. We will not return.

It was great they opened a location in Ewa Beach. However, there’s a skinny guy with glasses that ruined it for me due to a bad attitude. Honestly, I don’t want to spend money at a place where people give off a bad vibe. Funny how one person can ruin a great thing. I was a once a week guy to a never again customer. -$$$. Everyone else is cool except you skinny glasses guy!
