Tried Matsutake for the first time and was pleased with the very attentive staff. The food was excellent. We had a sushi appetizer that was so good we both agreed that we had to come back and try more sushi. I ordered the shrimp and scallop combo. The portion was large and had good flavor. The noodles and vegetables were very good. I paid extra for the fried rice, and it was the only thing I found disappointing. I’ve never had fried rice (even at a hibachi place) that did not include peas, onions, and fried egg, but this was just rice. Not really worth the extra cost. We could have done without the overly loud music that played throughout our meal, but otherwise a very good experience, and I plan to come back.

Awful. We put our name into wait and walked around the little shopping area. When we were called because there was a table ready they gave it away to another family because my husband was in a store finishing paying for something. He arrived 4 minutes after we did. Then they were making us wait again for a seat. It took them another 28 minutes to seat us and provide us drinks which I had to go to the bar to request because we were being ignored. This is awful.

We celebrated our daughter’s birthday here since she was intrigued by their neon water lamps near the front desk area. Anyways, our chef was awesome , he put on a great show with humor but I felt a bit rushed by the waitress. She was pleasant but kind of gave the vibes that she wanted to just turn over and serve the next group that was scheduled to be there. If you are a drinker and you like peaches, I highly suggest getting the peach sake , Food was just as any other Hibachi place a bit in the saltier side but that may be because I don’t use a lot salt when I personally cook for my family and myself.

This is what happened. I’ve been customer of them for 3 years and I used to take my family there for dinner or lunch for special events like birthday or Mother’s Day etc. Last time a visited the restaurant, we were 4 people, my family and we were the first ones to be seated… we wanted hibachi. Then, we had to wait for another family to come so the chef could cook for us (fine)… at the time he served the food, he started to serve the other family first in which they had 2 little kids of 8-11yrs old and then finished serving us (3 adults and a child of 12) the portions ONLY TO US were small in comparison with the other family. I am 24 yrs old and I can tell you that the other kid had a bunch more than me. I was the last person to be served and I barely had beef and rice, the chef had to take off from my FATHERS plate to give me. And our portions were SMALL! We are Hispanic, my dad has Asian factions… we felt discriminated of course. I won’t be back…. I feel sorry for all this. The other family were I believe white Americans and probably that’s why they had a special treat from the chef? My family and I are not coming back. We paid over $100 same price as the other family…. I don’t understand! It’s not fair the way you can make feel people who are supposedly in your restaurant to have a good time with family.

I took my daughter who turned 10 there for her birthday celebration because she’s been asking to go for about a year this was the first time we’ve been there. I will tell you this it is the absolute greatest entertainment while they’re cooking it is the absolute best tasting hibachi and it is the most food you could possibly get in one serving so it’s definitely well worth the cost. Everything was absolutely great and we will definitely be going back

The last 3 times I’ve called over and over for 20 minutes while driving home with my sushi-loving toddler and no one answered, the 3rd time I placed my order online because I wasn’t driving and when I went in, it wasn’t busy so I’m not sure why they dont pick up their phones? When I got home I saw that the rice was super wet and turned to mush when we tried scooping it out. Sadly we won’t be trying to order here anymore.
