I’d been craving takoyaki for days, and suddenly decided to drive over late at night. Surprisingly, even though it was close to closing time, they still served me. The waitress, Emily, recommended some dishes, and we ordered them right away. She wasn’t just beautiful and kind-hearted, she was practically a buddy! Apparently, she’s only there on Fridays and weekends. There were only her and one other guy working at the front; everyone else was chatting. Everything was great, and she even recommended two drinks – such good value! She was so friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a worthwhile trip, and I’ll definitely come back!

I recently went to MATSUTAKE SUSHI & SAKE BAR with my son, and we had a fantastic time! The interior is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The sushi bar looks lively and fun, adding to the overall experience.
The sushi was incredibly fresh. I asked our kind waitress to choose for me, and she picked some excellent options—I’m not sure exactly what she brought, but I ate all of it! My son ordered the udon noodles with chicken, and he really enjoyed it.
We had such a great time, and I highly recommend this local gem. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just looking for a fun dining experience, this place is worth visiting!

Given how close we are to this new restaurant we thought we’d give it a try. We ordered the tempura appetizer, chirashi, gyoza, Alaskan roll, spicy tuna roll and the Hawaiian Poke salad. Everything was tasty and fresh. Despite being in takeout containers, the food had a nice presentation. We’ll definitely be back to taste different dishes!
Update: Feb 2024. We dined in and had the Salmon Combo (my husband said the fish was exceptional) and a Bulgogi Rice Bowl (I loved the sizzling hot bowl)! The atmosphere was relaxing (a week night), and the service was excellent.

Came here on two separate occasions – during a weekday lunch and weekend dinner. The food quality remained consistent and was so delicious! I like to try a place twice before recommending it to others.
Menu items I’d order again:
– any kind of sashimi (amazing quality and generous-sized slices)
– ahi tower
– summer roll
– salmon maki roll
Items I’d pass on:
– salmon carpaccio (the sauce wasn’t it)
– fried ice cream
Overall, the price points are a bit higher compared to other local sushi places but the quality is 100% worth it.
Important note: they’re known for their sashimi and sushi, so don’t expect much when you order ramen lol. If you want good ramen, go to a restaurant that specializes in
it.

Was excited to try this place when I was originally looking online and saw the wide selection of fishes they offer. Food itself was not bad, fish was fresh and enjoyed their rice. Ratios were good too. However, the price is just unacceptable and extremely overpriced. They are pricing themselves as a Michelin star restaurant, so I can’t give higher than 2 stars.
We ended up ordering the karaage and UFO sushi roll, which we did enjoy. Sushi pricing is fair, but sashimi and nigiri pieces are not. We ate somewhere else afterwards. One of the workers was honest with us and said they believed the menu was extremely overpriced as well, when I asked about it. It’s a shame, but we will not be returning until they come to their senses on pricing.

It is good to have reservations, if not there will be accommodation for walk-ins during non-peak hours. Sunday evenings are pretty relaxed.
Ambiance is nice, Decor is excellent, seats are well cushioned, tables heights are decent and atmosphere is silent.

We had previously noticed this restaurant in the area and had been looking forward to trying it. Finally, we went there for lunch today. Upon entering, we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and tidy the restaurant was. We loved the ambiance, with its wooden barn-style ceiling, modern light fixtures, and wooden panel floor throughout. Although the Tempura Udon and Tonkatsu Ramen were just okay, the sushi and sashimi were fresh, and the portions were generous. Overall, we had a great dining experience at this Japanese restaurant. The service was decent, and we enjoyed our time there.

update – i agree with many other reviews that the service has declined. one of the waitresses that often serves us is dismissive. the past few times we went here we felt rushed and unwelcomed; since then we have tried other sushi restaurants nearby and have had a better experience with comparable quality and lower prices.

First time visit. Extremely clean! The food is very fresh, awesome flavors and presentation! The quality of the food is really good. Hostess/server was very friendly and hospitable. Will definitely return!
